I love getting to spend time alone with Rosie, I love my girl so much, but things are just so much more peaceful when Karlie is here. It's been a little over two weeks since I first fostered Rosie and about a week and a half since Karlie had to go to New York, and I haven't seen Rosie as excited about anything as she was when Karlie walked into her room this morning. The model arrived late last night so Rosie was already asleep, but it was worth the late flight to get to see the pure joy on the little one's face this morning.
"What do you want to do today?" Karlie hums, running her fingertips along my hip as I lean into her body. "I was thinking that we could take Rosie out, maybe the hall of fame or the science centre?" Karlie chuckles as she nods, "I think she'll love that, babe." I sink into her warm embrace as I smile, I hate when she's gone so I'm taking every second of her that I can while she's here.
"I'm going to get the little monkey ready, why don't you go and take a breather, take some time to yourself?" Karlie knows that looking after Rosie alone is stressful, I want to give the little one everything she deserves and that means giving every ounce of myself. "I won't be long," I stand on my tip toes to press a kiss to the model's lips and Karlie smiles, "take as long as you need, I've got Ro."
I nod as I pull away, "I love you," I chuckle, walking out of the room and Karlie smiles back, "I love you too."

"Braids or pigtails?" Rosie peers up at me as I ask the question, "buns!" Laughing as I run my fingers through Rosie's hair, I raise an eyebrow, "buns?" The five year old nods, the most serious expression on her little face that she can muster. "Your wish is my command," I press a kiss to the little one's forehead and Ro smiles. Nobody ever really even as much as brushed her hair before so we always take our time to show her as much care and attention as we can.
"Like that?" Rosie looks up into the mirror and a wide grin takes over her bright little face as she nods. "You look like a space princess," we both turn as we hear the voice and I smile when as I spot Taylor leaning against the doorway. "Are we ready to go?" I raise an eyebrow at my girlfriend as I lift Rosie off of the counter and the blonde nods, "it'll be a perfect day."
Taylor can't deny that she's nervous about going out in public with Rosie. She wants to protect her and exposing her to the media and her career is a scary prospect, but we both love her more than anything and Nashville is a safe place for us to be with her, she'll be okay.
"Are we bringing Avie?" Taylor has Rosie's backpack in her hands as I help the little girl tie her shoe laces. "Yes," the little one nods so Tay slips the giraffe into the side pocket and then goes to grab Rosie's water bottle and a snack from the kitchen. "You're acing this mom thing," I chuckle, pulling my girlfriend into a kiss as she walks back into the hallway, the singer laughing too, "it's all about routine, right?" She reaches out to high five Rosie and and the the five year old grins as she nods in agreement.
We make sure we have everything we need and then Taylor makes sure there is enough food out for the three cats before we pile into the car. I insist on driving so Taylor sits shotgun, laughing as Rosie and I sing along to her music. Ro doesn't fully comprehend what Taylor's job is yet but she loves it when Tay sings and having her albums on hand is very beneficial.
"Alright, monkey, do you remember our rules?" We settled on the science centre for our outing, I argued that since Taylor has already introduced Rosie to her passion then it's only fair if I get to do the same. "Always hold your hands and don't talk to strangers," she grins as she recalls the conversation we have pretty much every time we leave the house. "You got it, good job," I give Rosie a high five and then help her climb out of the back seat.
