"Don't pull stunt like that on me again!"

Natawa ako. This worrisome nerd. What danger would I encounter inside the school premises? Students are everywhere. Whoever idiot would harm me here is really an idiot. Doing crime with plenty of possible witnesses around?

"Stop worrying! I haven't gotten far from you"

"Just don't do it again"

"Okay" I chuckled

Hinuli nito ang aking kamay. Sa paraan ng paghawak nito ay para bang ayaw niya akong makatakas. Wala naman akong planong tumakas.

Tinahak naming ang daan papuntang opisina niya dito. May isang oras pa kasi bago ang aking klase. Habang naglalakad,  hindi ko maiwasan marinig ang usap-usapan ng mga estudyanteng tambay sa labas ng room. It added the surprise I learned earlier.

"Raffy's gone last night. Someone saw that he was grab by an unknown man"

What?!

"Nakidnap?"

"Kaya pala maraming pulis sa labas ng university"

"I saw the news this morning too. Mayor Cartanega is furious about it"

"Sino ba naman ang hindi? Nag-iisang anak tapos nakidnap pa?"

Is that why Therese was in hurry earlier? Kung iyon man ay saan ito pupunta? She can't do anything about her boyfriend being kidnapped.

"May suspect na raw ba?"

"It's not in the news but everyone speculated that it's..."

Before I could hear that nakaliko nakami ni Dash papuntang elevator. Hawak nito ang aking beywang no'ng papasok na kami sa loob.

"Dash?"

Lumingon siya sa akin.

"May narinig ako habang naglalakad tayo kanina sa hallway. Is it true?"

Hindi ito sumagot. He only sighed and kissed my forehead.

"It is true, huh?" I concluded. Though, wala naman akong pakialam. Raffy's not my friend, I flirted with him in the past but only to hurt Therese. No feelings involve.

"More reason for you not to go around alone, Daenah"

"I still don't understand"

"Let's talk in the office not here"

I pouted ngunit sinangayonan din ang gusto nito. Tahimik lang kaming dalawa habang hinihintay bumukas ang elevator.

Nang bumukas iyon, iginiya niya ako palabas, papuntang opisina nito. He opened the door for me. He then guided me to the couch. Naupo si Dash sa tabi ko, hawak ang aking kamay.

"Remember when I released a fake sex scandal of Raffy and Therese?"

I nodded. What about it? I think everyone forgot about it when it was announced that it was fake.

"Mr. Jacinto and Mayor Cartanega already had a conflict couple of years before it happened. That incident only added fuel in that conflict. Mayor Cartanega is furious after that. It's his only son and the daughter of his enemy in one video and doing the scandalous act"

"It was fake"

"Kahit sino ang makakapanuod doon sa unang beses hindi nila iisipin na peke iyon. Mayor Cartanega thought it was real"

"I watched it and I already knew it was fake"

"Dahil alam mong hindi kailanman nagkalapit ang dalawa"

Hindi ako sumagot dahil totoo ang sinabi nito. Raffy had a handful of women in his hands that time. Wala itong oras tingnan man lang si Therese.

"Dahil doon nag-utos si Mayor Cartanega ng surprise inspection sa iilang warehouses. Though, his goal was Mr. Jacinto's from the very start. Mayor Cartanega want's Mr. Jacinto down. Revenge from ruining his image and the image of his son. Idagdag pa ang away nila noon."

"His son is already ruined for having plenty of women"

He sighed. His thumb brush my index finger. Bumaba ang tingin ko doon. He's sending me dozens of electricity because of that.

"It was because of me"

"What?" napaangat ako ng tingin sa kanya

"Kung hindi ko ginawa iyon sana hindi ka nanganganib ngayon. I put your life in danger"

"Dash-"

"Dapat hindi iyon ang ginawa ko. Marami pa namang pwedeng gawin ngunit sa kagustuhan kong mapansin mo ako. I did it. No you're in danger too. Someone is threatening you, Therese and her mom. Lahat ng tao sa buhay ni Mr. Jacinto is in danger because of what I did"

Nakayuko ang ulo ito. Puno ng pagsisisi. I cupped his face and lift it up so his eyes would met mine.

"Hey... it's not your fault. I made you do it, okay? Besides, you're here with me. Walang masamang mangyari sa akin as long as you're with me. Hmm?" I brushed my thumb on his lips

Ang mga mata ko kanina na nasa mata nito ay bumaba sa kanyang labi. Hindi ko kayang makita ang mga lungkot sa mga mata nito. I love his eyes but I don't like seeing it with sadness.

It hurts me... it breaks my heart...

Damn! I'm really fvcking in love with this nerd!
