Hindi kami napilit ng mga ‘buddy’ daw namin na sumama sa kanila. We walked out from that scene and went home. Mabilis ang pagmamaneho namin paalis sa university na ‘yon.

We don’t want to go back and we are not losers. We were shocked earlier kaya hindi kami nakapag-isip. Imagine, our group is mighty then we faced the ugliest humans in a day without notice. Suddenly it just happened because of the old man’s freakin brain! Wish we could punch him in the face!

Inalis ko muna iyon sa aking utak. Mas ipinokus ko ang aking isip sa date naming ni Raffy. He texted me to choose which restaurant and he'll pick me up.

I took a long shower. Kinuskos ko ang buo kong katawan. I want to get the germs from the nerds out of my skin. Kanina pa nangangati ang katawan ko.

Two hours ata ang itinagal ko sa shower. Kasi I put soap on my body 20 times and I shampooed 10 times.

Dumating si Raffy nang nagbibihis pa ako. I told the maids to let him in.

I put a minimal amount of makeup. I went downstairs wearing a one off shoulder black dress. It reached up to knee. It perfectly hugged my body. Kailangan kong bumawi para maging boyfriend ko na si Raffy. This date shouldn’t go to waste.

“You look lovely!” wika nito nang makita siyang bumaba.

Of course I am! I wanted to say but I just gave him a sweet smile.

Kahit nakaheels ako ay mas mataas pa rin si Raffy sa’kin. It’s okay naman for me.

He gave me a long kiss on the cheeks and hand me a bouquet of roses na kanina pa pala nakapatong sa coffee table.

“Let’s go?” he said and wrapped his arms on my waist.

Pinagbuksan ako ni Raffy sa blue BMW nito. Ito din ang naglagay ng aking seatbelt bago ito umikot papuntang driver seat.

Inside his car is cozy. Amoy niya ang mabangong pabango nito.

He maneuver the car to the restaurant I chose. Hinawakan ni Raff yang aking kamay nang huminto kami para sa stop light. I look at him and he was also looking at me. He smiled and kissed the back of my palm. I smiled back.

He’s not bad.

Nang nag green signal na ay pinausad nito ang sasakyan pero hindi binitawan ang aking kamay.

Pinagbuksan niya ako nang makarating kami sa restaurant. The waiter guided us to our seats and gave us the menu.

I ordered Cesar salad and a fruit shake. Si Raffy naman ay baked salmon and a lobster and fresh juice. We also ordered drinks and desserts.

“How’s the basketball practice?” tanong ko nang makaalis ang waiter

“Coach got mad with the new members”

“Idiots?”

“Clumsy” I chuckled "And idiots too!"

“How was your day?”

“Tiring”

Nadrain lahat ng energy ko sa nangyari kanina. I was stunned like her friends. Pero babawi kami. They’ll just have to wait.

“Why?”

“Can we not talk about it? I don’t want to talk about it”

Baka mabad-mood na naman siya at magwalk out.

“Sorry” he gave her a small smile “Have you ever had a boyfriend before?”

I smiled. Now we are talking.

“Nope!”

“And why is that?”

“No one approached me”

“Maybe because they’re afraid of you?”

“If they’re afraid then they don’t have balls”

“Right! And I approached you, guess I have the balls” he chuckled

“But I did it first, didn’t I? I approached you first” I joked. Kailangan humaba ang aming usapan para naman maimpress ito sa’kin. Who knows he will ask me later to be his girlfriend?

“Yes but I already planned to ask you out”

We laughed.

Dumating and aming pagkain kaya nahinto kami saglit. We resumed when the waiter leave. We talked about how he entered the varsity. Actually wala akong naiintindihan sa mga terms na ginagamit niya sa basketball. I’m not fan of that game. I just nod my head whenever he say words that I don’t understand.

He asked me how come that I lived alone.

“My mama died”

We stopped the topic since it’s sad and it’s our actual date. Bumalik ulit kami sa basketball.

“Do you want to have a dinner with me this weekend?” he asked nang pinagbuksan niya ako.

Kakarating lang naming sa bahay. The dinner was great. We talked a lot of things.

Umalis lang kami nang sinabi ng waitress na magsasara na sila. We didn’t notice the time.

He insisted that he would pay our bills and I agree after a long insisting.

“Sure. Just text me”

“Goodnight, Daenah. Thank you for the date” he said and lean down. He kissed my cheeks

“Goodnight and thank you too. It’s great”

Tumalikod ako para makapasok na sa loob ng bahay. But before I could take another step Raffy called me. I turned around. Nasa may driver seat na ito. Hawak ang pintuan at nakatingin sa’kin.

“They say you’re bad but I say not. Thank you. I had a great night”

I only waved at him as he drove away…

“I am bad. Very. Just wait and see, Raffy” an evil smile appeared on my lips.
