"It's unfair"

We all looked at Saniyah's buddy. Katulad nang kay Frederick malamig din ang mga titig nito. Like any minute from now we will be frozen. 

"Life is, Mr. Alejos"

"Are done here?" I asked

Ayoko nang magtagal pa sa opisinang ito. Para kasing pinupukaw ang pinakaayaw kong gumising sa aking katawan. I let it sleep with multiple locks.

Because the moment it wakes up...it will be my downfall.

Hindi ko na hinintay ang sagot ng dean. Lumabas ako sa opisina nito. Mabilis kong pinalis ang mga gumagambala sa aking isipan. Pilit ko lang inisip kung ano ang susunod kong hakbang kina Therese at Raffy. That way it will divert my attention. Luckily, I succeeded.

While walking narinig ko ang mga yabag sa aking likuran. Sinundan iyon ng boses ni Hailee.

"Daenah, wait up!"

I halted nilingon ko sila na mabilis din ang lakad. Nang makarating sa kinatatayuan ko ay inilingkis niya ang kamay sa akin.

"Do we have a plan?" Elowyn asked 

"I bought you like Frederick?" I asked 

"I changed my mind" may tono sa boses nito na ayaw na nitong pag-usapan ang lalaki

Nagkibit balikat nalang ako. Muli naming tinahak ng sabay ang parking lot.

Bago pa kami makapasok sa aming mga kotse ay tumunog ang cellphone ni Theia. She quickly read the message ad put it inside her bag.

"Daenah, can I stay in your place again?"

Without question tumango ako. Maybe another problem rose in their house. Matagal na nitong gustong umalis sa bahay nila but Theia's mother didn't liked it.


Theia have her own reasons too. 

We bid farewell at my friends again. Binuksan ko na ang aking sasakyan at pinaandar.  Buti nalang pinagbuksan na kami ng guard dahil kung hindi sinasagasaaan ko na s'ya.

Theia stayed in my house for a week. She told me the problem they had in their house. Nakikinig lang ako sa kanya.

Life is really unfair. Unpredictable and sad. Sometimes I would think that there are people who were born not to be happy. They were born to carry a problem until the last of their breath.

Me and my friends are like living in a deserted place. With years of drought, no water, no rain and no rainbows. Uhaw na uhaw. All we have are ourselves. Hardly surviving.

"Let's have our dinner?"

Nilingon ko si Theia. She's holding a ladle on her hand. I gave her a playful smile. Nagvolunteer kasi itong magluto ng dinner naming. I told her to not bother since may kusinera naman sa bahay but she insisted.

Though, Theia's a good cook. Siya lang at si Penny ang marunong magluto sa aming lima. But if I have to choose who the better cook is, I would say it's Theia. Penny knows how to cook, yes, but she only cook the simplest dish.

Sabay kaming kumain ni Theia. Sarap na sarap ako sa niluto nitong stew. Nakadalawang cup din ako ng kanin. I cursed in my mind when I realized that I ruined my diet at this dinner.

Nang matapos kaming kumain ay sabay naming nilisan nag kusina. Hinayaan namin ang mga maid na ligpitin ang ginamit at kalat ni Theia sa kusina.

Theia's a great cook but also the kitchen is a mess whenever she's working there. Lahat ng mga gamit na nasa kusina ay  ginagamit nito. spills from the sauce are all over the wall and countere. Spoons and forks can be seen everywhere the area.

The next day was Friday, I immediately saw Therese pagkapasok pa lang naming sa hallway ng campus. Sobrang ikli na nang buhok nito na tila nagawan ng paraan ni Teresa na ipaayos.

And speaking of Teresa, wala na akong narinig mula sa kanya pagkatapos nang nangyari sa bahay. Vicente never contacted me again too. But he never fail to deposit money in my account.

"Therese how's life?" I asked

Fear was written in her face when she looked at me. I gave her a smirked. Nagmamadali itong tumalikod para makaalis sa aming harap ni Theia ngunit agad din namang nahwakan ni Theia ang kamay nito. Stopping her escape.

"I was asking you a question. How rude!"

"Daenah, stop it... please"

I chuckled.

"I didn't do anything, you paranoid"

Therese' is wearing her college uniform. A black slacks, white button shirt with a black necktie. I looked at her from head to toe. Even though she's wearing a uniform, she's still a trash for me. Like her parents.

"I like your hair" I pointed out her short hair

Nilagpasan ko na s'ya. I heard her sigh in relief. I scoffed. Kung akala niya ay makakatakas siya sa aking ngayong araw.. pwes! Nagkakamali s'ya. I was just waiting for that sigh to do something.

Kinuha ko ang glue na hawak ng isang estudyante sa gilid. Nanlaki ang mga mata nito nang bigla kong hinablot iyon sa kamay nito.

I opened the cap of the glue... I then poured it to Therese' hair. Making her gasp. Para itong naging tuod sa kinatatayuan at hindi makaalis.

Theia chuckled. Tinapon ko ang lalagyan ng glue sa ulo ni Therese nang maubos iyon.

"I really like your hair"
