Tomikas POV

Oh hey my names Tomika and I'm so excited I'm 22 and it's Valentine's Day I'm dating Zack and I think he's FINALLY gonna propose we've been together for five years and I always told him I wanted to be proposed to on Valentine's Day he's been really sweet lately I think he might finally do it I was in our room yes we live together I woke up a few minutes ago he came in with breakfast in bed I smiled

T: FOOD!!

I said excited he chuckled and gave it to me I smiled at him and kissed him

LATER

Me and him were walking around passing through little shops

Z: oh I have something for you

Please god let it be a ring he took out a bear I got confused but kept my smile on

T: isn't this the bear from CVS?

Z: it's more than that

T: it's a bear

I said as my smile started to fade I could feel the anger rising inside me

Z: Tomika just hug it

T: let me guess it says "I want hugs"

I said getting mad

Z: Tomika-

T: we've been dating for five years and you got me a bear for Valentine's Day

Z: I-

T: Zack I love you more than anything but seriously is that it? a 6 dollar bear from the clearance isle

Z: babe I get why your mad just squeeze it

T: no fuck you

I grabbed the bear and threw it in the street

Z: Tomika!!

T: I get it it's the thought that counts but seriously did you just forget and grabbed something last minute

Z: it looks like that but you said you wanted this

T: when did I say that

Z: hold on

He walked into the street and grabbed the bear don't worry I threw it on the cross walk and it was currently safe to walk I crossed my arms and he started walking back when a car hit him I screamed and the car stopped, I grabbed my phone and dialed 911

A FEW HOURS LATER

I was in the hospital he was on the bed the nurse came in

N: are you ok?

T: yeah but you must think I'm a real bitch

N: (high pitched) what noooo

T: it's just....we've been dating for five years and he got me a bear from cvs

N: ooh

T: I really thought he was gonna finally propose but he didn't and now I'm thinking he never will

N: I'm sorry but i got something for you

She pulled out the bear I smiled and she handed me it, the machine started beeping meaning something was wrong she rushed me out and the doctors rushed in and she went in as well I started crying I hugged the bear sad it said in it's animatronic voice

Bear: will you marry me

I immediately froze I squeezed it about a 100 times it was the same thing I unzipped the zipper and see a ring my jaw drops

1 HOUR LATER

I was sitting on one of the chairs in the waiting room I was looking at my ring the doctor came out I fell to the floor nervous and got up embarrassed

T: pretend you didn't see that

D: (chuckles) Zacks doing fine you can see him

My eyes widened with excitement they took me to the room I go in he's on the hospital bed he holds his hand up and waved the doctor left and I sat down next to him I wiped my tears

T: Zack I am so sorry

Z: it's fine

T: no it's not I threw the bear in the street and-

Z; your wearing the ring?

T: oh umm here

I handed him it

T: you probably want it back

Z: why would you say that

T: cause of me you almost died because I was ungrateful and didn't listen

Z: come here

T: Zack-

Z: sit down

I noticed the machine for him was at the other side of his bed so I sat down on the hospital bed he sat up

Z: to be fair it did look like a last minute gift

T: yeah

Z: I was just doing what you wanted

T: I don't get it?

I said as I turned my head to him

Z: do you remember when we were 13 and writing a song?

T: yeah

Z: we were talking about love and you brought up marriage you said you wanted to be proposed to in a unique way I said what about a teddy bear you said you'd love that

T: I can't believe you remembered that that's so sweet

I hugged him

T: I'm so stupid

Z: kinda

T: Zack I am so sorry I completely forgot

Z: it's fine

T: no it's not I almost lost you and-

Z: Tomika it's fine let's leave it at that I'm alive and I love you more than anything

T: really?

Z: yes

He smiled and kissed me I kissed back and we ended making out
