Ivy is sleeping in bed when she hears a buzzing.

"Are you kidding me?!" She yells, after looking at her pager.

Of course it was hers. She stumbles out of bed and goes to the hospital.

She yawns as Hunt finds her, "You're with Torres and I. Come on."

We find Torres walking in with Robbins, "Robbins, Karevs with your patient in trauma two. Torres, you and Shepherd are with me. We have a 15-year old female. She fell off the roof of her house. Now I think that we should-" he is interrupted by the girls mother.

"Shes gonna be okay, right? Please, I just need to know. Is she gonna be okay?" She frantically asks the doctors.

Hunt hands Torres the chart, "And this is her mother. Mrs. Boyd, I need to bring Dr. Torres and Dr. Shepherd up to speed right now, okay?"

She faces Ivy and Callie, "Shes never been in any accident before. Shes never even broken any bones."

"Oh, you paged us here at 4 am for a couple of broken bones?" Torres complains.

Ivy looks at the chart, "More like 50."

They go into the room to see a young girl black and blue with bones sticking out and whimpering. Ivy barely keeps her face passive as they start to move her.

"Get another unit of packed cells, meet me in the O.R." Torres tells a nurse.

"Right away."

Robbins and Karev turn and come up next to us, "Woah, woah. We need the O.R."

"Well, we need it too. We're already on our way."

"Theres only one O.R. prepped this time of night."

"Which is why we need it," Torres argues.

"Mines got a subdural."

"50 broken bones."

"Stroke in the womb!" Robbins yells as a door in front of Hunt opens and he is forced to make the bed stop.

Torres points at the nurse, "Okay, get another O.R. ready now."

They wait for it to be ready.

Hunt finds Ivy as she she getting coffee and yawning, "Heads up, Cristina is going to be mad that you got paged and she didn't. So stay clear of her if possible."

"I have rounds with her this morning. You want me to just, what, not fear for my life?" Ivy deadpans.

He nods, "Yup, now go, we got to start rounds."

Ivy looks longly at the coffee cart, "Stupid waking up before the crack of dawn. Stupid rounds."

She quickly catches up with Jackson and they follow Yang to meet Robbins at the Peds floor. Gathered there is Robbins, Charles, Hunt, and Torres.

"Okay, I know this is the first time on a peds rotation with me for some of you. Not for others. But I wanted you to understand that I run my peds unit a little differently than you may be used to. This is not general surgery in miniature. These are the tiny humans. These are children. They believe in magic. They play pretend. There is fairy dust in their I.V. bags. They hope and they cross their fingers and they make wishes. And that makes them more resilient than adults. They recover faster, survive worse. They believe. In peds... we have miracles and magic. In peds, anything is possible."
