Jackson and Ivy sit in an on-call room going over paperwork. We'll, Ivy was. Jackson is laying with his head in her lap, facing her stomach and talking to the small bump, "And remember, your mommy has always been in love with me. Ever since we met."
"Are you lying to our unborn child?"
"No, I'm just...stretching the truth. I'll wait till it's actually born to lie to it," Jackson smiles up at his fiance.
She rolls her eyes, giggling, "Come on. We need to focus on this work. We need-"
Jackson stops her, "Or, we can talk about anything else. Really, anything else. How about our ultrasound tonight?"
Ivy smiles, "Okay, fine," she sets the paperwork down, "I'm nervous."
"Why are you nervous? All that's going to happen is they're going to check to make sure the baby is growing on schedule. Everything will be all right. I promise," Jackson tells her, kissing the bump before sitting up next to her.
"I know that. I do, but it's just... this mental block that's going through every little thing that could be wrong. I-I-I know nothing is wrong because I would feel it, right? But what if something is wrong and I just-" Ivy is interrupted by the door opening and her future mother in law walking in.
"Oh, I'm sorry, kids. I just needed a couple extra pillows. I would ask do you want a condom but that seems redundant," Catherine crosses her arms.
Jackson shakes his head, "Mom, that's not-"
Catherine raises her hand, "No, no, it's fine. I just need the pillows for Richard."
Ivy laughs, "No, what he is trying to say is we were doing paperwork but got distracted by talking about our ultrasound today."
"Oh. Well, why are you using an on-call room to do paperwork? There is an open conference room right across the hall," Catherine points to the room behind her.
"We've found that we're more likely to get interrupted by people asking for money in any room, but in an on-call room, no one disturbs us," Jackson tells his mom, grabbing a couple of pillows for her.
She nods, "Okay, my dears. You have an ultrasound tonight? I would love-"
"I'm already planning on getting copies for you, Derek, April and then one to send to each of my sisters," Ivy laughs.
Catherine smiles, "Well, great then. I look forward to that. I will see you two later. Remember to be safe."
Jackson hangs his head as she leaves, "We should get back to work. But about the ultrasound, you don't need to worry. If something is wrong, we own one of the best hospitals in the country and we know one of the best OB's who we know will fly out if we need her too. I promise, everything will be all right."
Ivy takes a deep breath before nodding. She kisses him, "Okay, thank you. Lets go, I left Edwards in the E.R. Hopefully, she hasn't killed anyone."
"You should have more faith in them. They passed their interns exams."
Ivy laughs, "Doesn't mean I trust them in my E.R. Hell, I don't even trust Owen to run it."
Jackson waits until she leaves the room before commenting, "Yeah, and with the way your hormones have been, Edwards better hope she has protection."
"I heard that!"
"Sorry!"

Ivy puts on her gloves as she and Callie walk up to April, "What do we got?"
"Her name is Reese Woods, 22. Hang gliding over Tiger Mountain, B.P.s 100/70, open tibia fracture, and complains of abdominal pain," April tells them.
