Jake"Does-Does it still hurt?" I asked as Dylan gave me the coffee. I know I hurt him that night.... I didn't even prepare him.......
I'm an asshole.
Dylan was confused for a minute then he immediately turned red. He fiddled with his sleeve while stuttering out his reply. "I-It's alright n-now... Umm...I'm o-okay, "
The hickeys were still visible on his neck in a fading dark red color. It's been four days.... They're taking so long to heal.
"Umm... The b-bruises...Do you have any medicine for them?"
"Huh? Oh...Um... I-It's fine..." He said as he pulled on his T-shirt collar to hide them.
"You didn't put medicine? Do they still hurt?" I asked. He didn't put any medicine on them, that's why they still haven't healed...
"O-Only when you press on it... Umm... Don't worry, it'll be alright." Dylan muttered while looking down.
I put the coffee on the table. "Where do you keep the ointment?" I questioned as I stood up.
Dylan's eyes widened. "What?"
"The ointment for bruises. Where do you keep it?" I asked with a serious face.
"Jake, it's okay. I-I'll put in on later—"
"You won't. You haven't put anything on the bruises... That's why they still haven't healed." I said while I walked towards his bedroom. "Is it in the bathroom drawer?" I pointed to the bathroom. Dylan stared at me dumbfounded for a second before nodding.
I quickly went to the bathroom and took the medicine from the drawer. Dylan was nervously pacing back and forth when I came back. He stopped and fidgeted on his spot when he saw me.
"Sit down," I motioned for him to sit on the bed. Dylan bit his lip nervously.
"This isn't necessary...I can—"
"It is necessary to put medicine on bruises otherwise they won't heal faster," I said as I made him sit on the bed.
I squeezed some ointment on my index finger before gently applying it to his neck. He flinched when my finger touched him. "Did it hurt? " I quickly pulled back my hand.
"No, it just felt c-cold." He looked down. I continued to apply the ointment to all the bruises on his neck.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" I asked and saw his eyes widen.
"N-No," He looked away, making me frown.
"Where are you hurt?" I was worried. Dylan bit his lips.
"It's o-okay, I'll do it m-myself. Give me that m-medicine," He took the medicine from me before standing up.
"Where are you going?"
"To the bathroom,"
"Are you not going to apply the medicine?"
"I am..."
"Then why are going to the bath—oh...o-oh sorry..." I blushed when I realized it. It must be somewhere he can't show me.
Dylan turned red as he rushed to the bathroom. I couldn't help but sit down while tugging at my hair roughly. God, I must have hurt him so much.
After a few minutes, he came back to the room.
"Did you go to the hospital?" He stared at me dumbfounded when I asked him the question.
"W-What? "
"Did you see a doctor? You know...after that n-night...." I repeated.
