"SURPRISE! "

"What the—oh! " Jake flinched in surprise before he froze. He took a deep breath. "You guys, what the hell? I would have died from a heart attack right now, " He shook his head.

"Jake, baby, " His mother strode towards him with open arms. "Happy birthday, dear, " She said and placed a kiss on his cheek.

I watched as everyone surrounded Jake to say their wishes. It was a surprise party we all planned for him. There weren't many people, just me, Jake, Tristan, Jesse, and our parents.

We don't go to or throw any parties now since it's kinda triggering for Jesse.

"How did you all get inside? " Jake raised his brows.

"Dylan gave us a spare key, " His mother, Annie, said.

Jake looked at me, causing me to give him a sheepish smile.

"Come here and cut the cake, " Annie dragged Jake to the living room where everything was already set up.

Everyone gathered around him as he cut the cake. I took a few pictures on my phone because Jake looked so happy to see his family again.

He thanked everyone for the gifts before walking up to me. I smiled when he leaned down and pecked my lips. "Thank you, " He said before nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck. "I'm so happy right now, "

"Then do you mind if I make you a little more happy? " I smiled, causing him to look at me in confusion.

"What? " Jake tilted his head.

"Come with me, " I took his hand and dragged him upstairs to his room. "You need to be quiet, " I told him before opening the door.

Jake looked confused but he still did as I told him.

He froze when he saw the kitten sleeping peacefully in the box. "No way… " He whispered, wide-eyed.

"Do you like him? " I smiled.

"You got him for me?"

"Yes—" I didn't even have the time to complete the sentence before I was engulfed in a tight hug.

"I love you so much, " Jake caught my lips in a deep kiss after he said it. I hugged him close with a small smile.
"I don't deserve you, " He whispered, placing butterfly kisses on my neck.

"Don't say stupid things, " I gently hit his head before he looked up at me. "Do you like him? "

"He looks cute, " Jake pulled away from me to look at the kitten. He petted his head with his thumb. "He looks like you, "

"Shut up, " I rolled my eyes.

"What's his name? "

"I haven't named him. I was hoping to do it with you. What do you want to call him? " I asked as I crouched down close to Jake.

"Me? I'm really bad at naming. I'll have to Google it, " Jake shook his head.

"Just name him anything you like. Google is gonna suggest shitty names. We don't want that for him, "

"I'm gonna come with a more shitty name, "

"That's okay. It can be our little thing. Just name him whatever you like, " I shrugged.

"Uhh… I like carrots, " Jake said suddenly, causing me to chuckle.

"Carrot is a cute name, " 

"It's bad, isn't it?"
