"W-What?" I stuttered as Jake ruffled my hair. 

"You don't know?" Jake asked, his hand slowly slipping down to caress my cheek. 

I gulped. What is he doing?  

I'm pretty sure I look like a tomato right now. Jake's eyes raked all over my face as he continued to rub my cheek, making it warmer than it already is from my flushed state. I almost leaned into his touch. 

"Who's there?!" We both jumped when someone shouted at us. I turned around to see the security with a flashlight, pointing it in our direction.

"Oh no," I said, hurriedly taking Jake's hand in mine and running off to hide. 

"What happened? Why are we running?" Jake looked at me dumbfounded as he stumbled while running with me.

"I'll tell you later, just follow me now, " I spoke in a hushed voice. 

"Did you find them?" 

I froze when I heard another voice. 

Oh, fuck!

"There's someone else!" I whispered to Jake as we both hid behind a tree. Jake looked confused. 

Luckily, they didn't see us as they passed by the tree. I took this chance to grab Jake's hand and ran towards the artificial waterfall at the far end of the park. We hid behind the rocks which were covered with bushes. 

"What are we doing?" Jake whisper shouted at me. I quickly hushed him before peeking out to see if the securities were still there. 

They were still there. 

"We're not allowed in here after 8 PM, " I whispered. 

Jake raised his eyebrows. "What?" He asked, making me roll my eyes. His eyes widened as he realized. "That's why you made me come in here through those bushes?"

I gave him a sheepish smile. 

"You little shit, I thought it was because that was a shortcut, " Jake shook his head. "What would they do, if they caught us?" Will they call the police?"

"No, we'll have to pay a fine and then they'll kick us out, " I shrugged. 

"Fine?" Jake raised his eyebrows. "Then we don't have to hide. I'll pay whatever—" 

"No," I cut him off. 

"What do you mean? " Jake fought a frown. 

I looked down, fiddling with my fingers. "Umm…. I-It's because I hate one of the security guards…." I slowly confessed, causing his frown to deepen. "When I used to come here with Jesse, he always chased us away. He used to take more than the required fine from us," I scowled, thinking about that dickhead. 

"The money collected by the park from fines is supposed to go to charity but he always takes them home. He's also homophobic. When I came here with Jesse, he used to call us homophobic slurs while he chased us away," I sighed. 

Jake still had a frown on his face. "I'll teach that shit face to be respectful—" 

"Wait, no, stop, " I hurriedly made him sit down. 

"You know I can pay the fine, right? I can even pay for his hospital fees and everything just in case I beat him up,"

I shook my head as Jake angrily rambled. "It's fun, isn't it? Hiding like this…" I said, making him stop. "Jesse and I used to do this…..it was fun. It made us feel adventurous…." I chuckled. "We used to throw rocks at different places to distract him. One day, Jesse downloaded a creepy ghost sound and played it to scare the security," I laughed, covering my mouth. " I still remember him crying and shouting some kind of prayer as he ran,"
