Jesse

"Stop messing with me, jerk!" I grumbled before pushing him away. I sat down on the bed, and threw him a glare. He's teasing me too much nowadays.

Tristan chuckled softly before sitting beside me.

"You look like your mom," He said suddenly. "-and she looks really young," I smiled at his comment. It's true. My mom looks super young. She was often mistaken for my older sister. I don't know how many people have asked me if she is my sister.

I look just like her while Lisa looks exactly like my dad.

"I know. Heard that since I was a child," I chuckled.

"Hmm... After some years, people might think you're her older brother," He spoke while trying hard to resist his laughter.

"I'm seriously beginning to regret inviting you to dinner," I scowled at him but he just laughed at that. "My grandma is Asian. You should see her. She still looks so young. I secretly believe she's vampire but who knows. My mom got some of her good genes and I was lucky to get some features too. But Lisa is a carbon copy of my Dad. He's really proud of that," I chuckled.

"BOYS!! DINNER IS READY!" We heard mom shouting from downstairs.

"Let's go," I sighed and stood up. "The food will get cold if we wait," Tristan nodded and stood up to follow me downstairs.

Dad and Lisa were already there when we got downstairs. Dad smiled as he turned to see me. He ruffled my hair when I hugged him. Dad has been really busy the past few days. I don't get to see him often now. I missed him.

"You must be Tristan," Dad turned to Tristan and offered him a hand to shake.

"That's me. It's really nice to meet you, Mr. Miller," Tristan smiled as he shook hands with my dad.

"Call me Alex, son," Dad patted Tristan on the back with a laugh.

"Jesse, sweety, can you help me set the table?" I heard my mom say from the kitchen.

"Yes, mom," I went to the kitchen to get the plates and silver wares. I'm sure Tristan will like this dinner. Mom's food is delicious and they all already love him.

I just have to introduce Lisa to Tristan. They both really don't know each other. Maybe they can be good friends. It'd be good if that happens. Then we can all hang out together.

I decided to introduce Lisa to Tristan after I put everything on the table but when I got back to the living room, they were already having a conversation. I guess they introduced themselves.

But...why are they both blushing?

"Come on, guys, everything is ready, " I said, gesturing to the table. Tristan and Lisa looked at me with a surprised look before they both nodded.

Dinner was fun. As always, everything mom made was delicious. Tristan liked it too, he kept complimenting her for every dish he tried.

We talked, we joked, and we laughed. Everything was perfect except for one thing.

I don't know how to say it but.... Tristan and Lisa kept glancing at each other. I don't know why they did that. Maybe they know each other? But when I talked about Tristan earlier it didn't seem like she knew him.

Why are they acting like that?

I can't explain what it is but I feel weird and I don't like it one bit. It's like something is burning inside me.

I thought I would introduce them to each other and we'd have a good time talking about what we know about each other. But what happened was totally the opposite. They were glancing and smiling at each other while I just sat awkwardly beside Tristan.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear Tristan calling my name. He was saying goodbye to everyone. I looked up to see him waving at me.

"Come on, I'll walk you outside," I said, opening the door as he followed me out.

"It was really nice spending time with your family. They're awesome," He said with a light chuckle.

I smiled at him. "I'm glad you think so," We were slowly walking to his car.

"They're really fun to be around," He said as we reached his car.

"You can come here anytime. They really like you, they're gonna bug me to bring you over again anyway," I laughed while looking back at the house.

Tristan let out a soft chuckle. "I would like that too," He opened his car. " So...goodnight then,"

"Good night," I gave him a small wave.

Tristan nodded with a smile before he ruffled my hair. He slid into the expensive car and closed the door.

"See ya tomorrow, " He said and put on his seat belt before he rode off.

I looked at him as he pulled out of my house. It was sad watching go.

I hope I can hang out with him more. I like being with him.
