Tristan

There she is, laughing with her friends. Her blond hair fell into her eyes as she smiled. I know I'm staring at her like a creep. I think everyone knows. Well, everyone except for her or maybe she's aware of it too. I'm not good at being that subtle.

The reason why I'm here staring at her without having the courage to go up and speak to her is that I know I'll get rejected. Lisa doesn't like being around a lot of people and having people follow her around. I've seen many guys who aren't that bad looking go up to her and get rejected in a second. She didn't even take some time to think.

It's even hard to get into her friendship circle. She never lets people into her life easily.

I like that about her. It's something I failed to do. Wherever I go, a crowd follows me. I don't even know half of the people who claim to be my friends. They're just latching on to me to get something from me. They know I have money and I spend it without thinking.

I respect Lisa for being able to keep those people away. I respect her for not falling for a guy just because he has money or looks. She's not like those girls gawking at me in the hallway whenever I pass by and maybe that's what attracts me to her the most.

I need someone who sees me for me. I need someone who looks past my money and looks. I need someone real. And I know she's someone like that.

"Oh, come on, Tristan... Just go up and tell her that you like her! " I heard my best friend behind me. I can already tell that he's shaking his head at my lovesick gaze.

We've discussed this before. It's not gonna happen... She's gonna reject me straight away…

A sigh slipped past my lips as I turned to him.

"You know very well that I'm gonna get rejected in a split second if I do that. So come up with something creative," I scoffed.

Jake rolled his eyes. "Well, I do have something creative in my hands,"  He smirked and signaled something.

"What?" I raised a brow at him. I don't know what kind of stupid shit he's going to come up with now.

"Turn around, idiot, " He groaned and spun me around.

I looked around to find what he's talking about and my eyes fell on Jesse Miller, Lisa's brother, walking with a load of books in his hands.

Is he a human or a walking library?

God, what does he do with those books? Does he eat them for lunch?.

I frowned and turned back to look at Jake. "What does it have to do with him? "

Jake grinned that stupid grin which screamed 'I'm going to say some stupid shit right now'

"Well, he is your ticket to catch Lisa's attention," He said, pointing his finger at the brown-haired boy. "You should try to get close to him, "

"Why? What's he gonna do? Be a cupid?" I rolled my eyes.

"He's her brother, you idiot, " Jake punched me on the shoulder. "I heard he's the only who she cares about the most, "

"So? What do you want me to do?"

"Are you an idiot? Go up to him and make him your buddy, "

"How am I going to do that? He doesn't seem like someone who would want to be friends with someone like me," I shook my head.

He's a quiet guy. He's never even got any detention and I'm the definition of trouble. I have a feeling that he's gonna run if I ever try to talk to him.

I don't want to scare the poor guy and I don't even know how it'll go if I go up to him. What the hell would I say?

'Hi, I like your sister. Will you help me to make her my girlfriend?'

Wow, that sounds so stupid. He might kill me with his books if I tell him that.

Jake shrugged. "I don't know... Don't be friends then....try something else like.... ask him out on a date or something,"
