Stepping Up to the Challenge

Just a little warning. There will be a little emotional moment towards the end.

Anna's POV

"Hey, there is..." I stand there completely baffled at what I see in front of me. "Barry!"

"I tried to separate them but they...they overpowered me." Barry explains with a heavy sigh. "They overpowered me." I grab a wrench a throw it at Damian and Cisco hearing it hit them both and they cry out in pain.

"Aunt Anna!" Damian cries.

"I need you all to behave or I will throw something more damaging than a wrench." I threaten him.

"He started it." Cisco points to Damian who swats his hand away.

"I don't care who started. All I care about is this is over."

"I..." I give them both a look and they stop. The alarms go off and Damian speeds to the main lab.

"Wow, that is...so annoying." Barry comments and we all head to see what's going on.

"Baldwin Towers on fire. CCFD's responding, but there are people on the top floor they can't reach." Caitlin informs us and we take in the scene before us.

"Caitlin we need Killer Frost to put out the fire. Ralph, Cisco suit up." I order as we monitor the state of the emergency.

"Yeah, not a chance." Ralph shakes his head. "This could just be a trap for DeVoe to get us out." He argues as he takes a seat eating his chips.

"We have a bigger problem. We don't have a Flash anymore." Cisco reminds us.

"Yeah, we do." Caitlin motions to Damian.

"Uh...like hell I am." Damian argues with her.

"He's not ready." Barry chimes in. "I mean he just got his powers and...Iris is just learning how to use them...neither knows how to use them." Barry argues.

"No, I wanna do this. I can do this." Iris jumps in.

"Iris." I warn her.

"I know you told me about my limits and I know what my limits are. I know this is something I can do." She assures me.

"You've only been practicing for a day. How..."

"I can do this Anna." Iris interrupts me.

"I don't think you can. I think you're way in over your head."

"I know I can do this."

"Anna, she says she has it." Barry tells me and I glare at him.

"And I'm telling you she hasn't had enough practice." I argue.

"Anna, we'll monitor her like we always did Barry." Caitlin assures me.

"I don't agree with this."

"Don't worry Aunt Anna I'll save the people." Damian looks up at me.

"Damian, I do..."

"I have practiced enough to know I can save the people in the fire." Damian assures me.

"I uh..."

"Anna we are running out of time." Caitlin reminds me.

"Uh...okay Damian." I face him. "You will speed in and out getting people to safety." I order him.

"Duh." Damian responds and I hit his shoulder.

"Iris." I face her and she looks at me. "Just how you put the small fire out underneath Barry and Cisco it's the same concept with this fire." She nods her head.
