I hope you all enjoy this double update. I loved writing it.
Barry's POV
I stir awake and notice the team put Oliver and me in the pipeline. "Oh come on. Guys, come on! Come on!" I cry out needing them to hear us. "Anna babe please believe us. You're my lightning rod!" I call out. Still nothing. "Let us out of here." I lean against the wall
"Why are we in your secret prison?" Oliver asks me.
"It's not a prison. It's a Tesla conductor tube that dampens meta-powers." Oliver keeps glaring at me. "Okay, it's a prison." I admit. "We just need to convince everybody that we're not crazy!" I scream the last part.
"How?" Oliver gets up. "How do you suggest that we do that? Because everyone on Earth thinks we're each other." It dawns on me.
"That's it."
"Hmm?"
"Maybe it's just Earth-1 that's been affected. If we can get an extrapolator, breach to Earth-38 and find Kara. If she remembers us, then maybe she can help fix whatever's happened."
"You skipped the part where you explain how we escape."
"Uh yeah well, that...I have been locked in here a few times and..."
"By your team?" Oliver questions me.
"Uh yeah and...most of the time it was for my own good and...I even locked Anna in here once..."
"You locked your wife in a prison?" Oliver snaps.
"Hey! She was not herself. Her evil doppelganger from Earth-2 took over and basically tried to rip my heart from my chest. So yeah we locked her in here for her own good."
"And no one has escaped." Oliver state. I keep looking around for something to help me figure out how to escape. "I spent the past seven months in a maximum-security prison..."
"Hey Anna and I also spent time in prison. You're not alone in that." I remind him.
"No matter how bad things got...and they got bad, every cell had a toilet." He complains. I kick a spot in the wall that produces a toilet.
"Sure you can't hold it?" I ask him. He just gives me a look. "Oh, you wanna back up the pipes."
"And fry the dampener, yes." Oliver confirms.
"That's a good idea." I remove the back of the toilet with ease but hesitate. "One problem, I'm not gonna be able to reach the valve with these on." I hold up my hands that are cuffed.
"You're gonna have to dislocate your thumb." Oliver instructs like it's no big deal.
"Are you crazy? I'm..."
"I'm not crazy. You need to dislocate your thumb. apply pressure to the joint." He instructs me and Ilook away as I prepare to dislocate my thumb.
"No, I'm gonna break my hand..."
"You're not gonna break your hand. Because in this reality, your ligaments have been stretched and conditioned in the art of escape by Anatoly Knyazev. No man up and apply pressure to the joint, and dislocate your thumb." He repeats and I try and it works. I pull my hand free from the cuffs.
"It worked."
"Yeah." Oliver motions for me to back up the pipes.
"Okay, now just wait for it." The cords spark.
"Dampener's down. Now what?" Oliver asks me.
"You're gonna have to phase us out of here." I instruct him.
