Just a warning there will be a lot of emotion in this chapter. Just be prepared.
Anna's POV
I see nothing but red as I have Barry in a choke-hold. "What the fuck did you do?" I ask him as my heart is breaking. "You took our daughter back to the future!"
"She was working with Thawne and lying to us, Anna. I had no other choice." He tries to defend himself. I release him just enough so I can throw him into the wall. His body collides with it, making a loud banging sound. "Anna..."
"No!" I point my finger at him. "There is no I in this Barry. It's we." I correct him. "Nora is our daughter! How dare you say otherwise!"
"I know that." He struggles to get up.
"So she lied to us, and you are punishing her by leaving her in the future? Where she is alone and scared."
"I can't trust her, Anna!" He yells at me. "That puts all of us in danger!"
"And what about trusting Jay?" I question him. "Or anyone else we've allowed to just walk into our lives? We trust people, Barry, and sometimes that trust is broken! But she is our daughter!" I argue with him.
"She lied to us! All this time, she was lying!"
"And I tried telling you that she was lying, but you just wanted a big happy family moment! But now, this is what family truly means. When things get hard, we don't leave those we love behind! We stick with them no matter what."
"This is different." He shakes his head at me.
"Why, because it's how you feel?" I question him, and he looks at me with so much anger in his eyes. "Did you once think about how I would feel?"
"I didn't think I had to!"
"We are married, Barry, and I love you, but we don't share one mind or life! We work together as a team, and we come out on the other end, but not all you see is what you want and to hell what anyone else thinks. It is your way or the no way."
"Really?"
"Yes, really, Barry!!"
"Anna, how are you not on my side?!" Barry questions me.
"Side?" I face him again, and all I see is Nora. "You sent our daughter back to the future as a punishment. You don't punish your children, Barry. You teach them a lesson but always making sure they know how much you love them."
"She was lyi..."
"God, can you for one second stop being an asshole?!" I exclaim with anger. "We have been through hell and back, Barry, but you still think you're the fucking leader over all of us! Not me!" I yell. "I am your wife, Barry, but you don't control me! Why would you ever abandon our child in the future?"
"You are the one who has been wanting her to go back there all this time, and now I'm the bad guy for sending her back?"
"You sent her back out of anger. That is no way to leave someone." I pace around, not wanting to punch the living shit out of my husband.
"Don't talk to me about leaving Nora! You knew she was lying this whole time. You were investigating our daughter, and you don't feel bad about that?"
"I feel horrible about it, Barry, but I'm tired of everyone in this damn team being so open to trusting anyone who says they are here to help us!"
"Because I'm right this time!" He screams, and I look at him.
"Really? What about Flashpoint? Leaving me as you spent six months in the Speed Force, never knowing if you would come out. Were you right all of those times too?" I demand from him.
