Reverse

I hope you enjoy the little twist I have written.

"Today, I showed you how easy a city can fall. Mark my words, nuclear power will bring only destruction to the world. You'll see it again, and when you do, you'll remember the name Veronica Dale, and fully understand my actions. Eden Corps! Eden Corps!" Cisco turns the computer off.

"I feel like she's saying Eden Corps." Cisco states.

"Nothing gets past you." Damian makes a snide remark to Cisco.

"As in blasting everybody back to the days of the Garden of Eden. This was to air after the city fell. Found her manifesto at her apartment. Environmental activist turned animal liberator turned domestic terrorist." Joe explains to us.

"Turned cray-cray." Cisco comments.

"Grandfather was crazier." Damian comments.

"How did she find out about the ARGUS drop anyway?" Iris asks us.

"Somebody must have tipped her off." Barry stats from the medical bed.

"DeVoe?" I ask wondering where Barry is getting at.

"But why would he or she...whoever...why blow up the whole city?" Cisco asks Barry for clarification. "Why kill nearly everyone here?"

"Maybe there is no method to the madness." Joe suggests.

"Well, this was fun, as usual. But it's time for the ol' Crimson Comet to head back home." Jay comes into the room and it is always so wonderful to have him here.

"Thank you for your help, Jay." Barry says still weak from overdoing himself saving us all again.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for you two and Jesse, it'd be a completely different story in the news right now." I state to Jay with a smile.

"You were a big part of that, Anna." Jay smiles back at me. "Credit where credit's due."

"My sentiments exactly." Barry grips my hand and brings it to his lips kissing it.

"Love you, babe." I kiss his cheek.

"So, when you get home. You need to rest." Caitlin hands Jay one of our specially made power bars to restore energy to the speedsters in our lives. Jay takes the bar with happiness. "Your glucose levels are pretty low."

"Thanks. When I get back, I think I'll be doing nothing but getting rest." Jay states to us.

"Meaning?" Cisco questions him.

"I've been in this hero game a long time, a long, long time. And after today, I'm thinking about trying my hand at something new."

"Like what?" Barry asks Jay.

"For starters, training someone to take over." Jay answers.

"There's another Flash on your Earth?" I ask him confused.

"There will be...soon as I'm done training her." We all smile with pride knowing he's talking about Jesse.

"Well, do you think we're good with the Speed Force?" Barry asks.

"Well, if not, we'll find out soon enough." Jay shakes Barry's hand. "Always a pleasure, Flash."

"Always."

"Don't be a stranger Jay." I hug him goodbye.

"It's always wonderful to see you all." Jay leaves and it's bittersweet.

"So, you need to rest as well, mister. No running, no Flash." Caitlin orders Barry. "Your system is taxed."

"I'm good." Barry assures her but we all know better. He will always go above and beyond his limits.
