Thank you all for loving my last chapter. Here is another update that I hope you will enjoy.
3rd Person's POV
"How do you feel?" Mirrorverse Iris asks the now Mirrorverse Kamilla.
"A little dizzy, but otherwise, I think I'm okay." Kamilla answers.
"I wouldn't even have bothered with her." Mirrorverse Damian comments.
"She knew too much." Iris argues.
"So kill her." He fires back. The mirror changes, and Eva appears.
"Welcome to the team, Kamilla." Eva greets her new minion. The mirror versions of Iris, Kamilla, and Damian approach their leader. "Your creation was unplanned, but I know you'll make a useful addition."
"Where's my counterpart?" Kamilla asks.
"She's no longer a problem now." Eva answers.
"So she's dead. Finally, some good news." Damian comments.
"I don't have much time before Iris realizes I'm gone and..."
"You better let me the fuck out before I fucking kill you!" The real Damian can be heard in the background.
"I thought you took care of him." Iris states.
There... he's proving harder to handle than I initially thought." Eva admits.
"He's just a kid." Kamilla states.
"That's what I thought, too, but... he's definitely something else. He's tried hacking his way out of this place and almost caused a tidal wave to take out the city." Eva shares.
"I like his style." Mirrorverse Damian comments.
"Listen to me; this is important." Eva brings them back to the task at hand. "Six years ago, I created a device capable of converting light into energy. I called it the Prismatic Refractor." Eva holds up the device to share with everyone. "It looked like this. I need you to retrieve it for me." Fake Iris reaches through the mirror to take the replica of the Prismatic Refractor. Kamilla studies it.
"It's beautiful."
"That's a replica, dumbass." Damian states.
"Despite how crudely Damian put it but he is right. That is a replica. I made it here in the Mirrorverse, but my R-CEM rejected it. I believe it needs the original in order to function." Eva explains.
"What's the R-CEM?"
"A thing that will ensure the success of my long-term plans."
"Where do we start?" Damian asks.
"My husband, Joseph, he...underestimated the value of the Refractor and sold it to Mercury Labs a few months ago." The mirrorverse Iris, Kamilla, and Damian copy Eva as she scratches her arm. "Find a way in, replace the replica out with the original, and you bring it to me. Do not let me down."
"Success is assured." Iris states robotically.
"And death will come to anyone that gets in our way." Damian adds. Eva ends their conversation. She makes sure that the real Iris is nowhere around as she enters a hidden room. Inside, the real Damian is fighting out of his restraints, trying to free himself.
"You'll never get out." Eva tells him.
"Funny, the same could be said for you." He fires back. Eva crouches down in front of him.
"I would conserve your strength. You're going to be here forever."
"Says the failed scientist who just likes talking to her psychotic delusional self in the mirror!" Eva slaps him out of anger.
