We're almost to the end of this book and I can't wait for you all to read the third installment of Anna and Barry's life.
Barry's P.O.V.
"Nash? Cecile? Please, I..." I rush to the cell door. "Cecile, you have to believe me. I am me and..." She has tears in her eyes as she uses her to open the door.
"I believe you, Barry."
"Cecile, what happened?" I ask, fearful of her answer.
"Anna, she's...." I try and race to my wife, but my speed still isn't working as I fall to the ground. I forgo using my speed and run normally to the medical bay to find Anna hooked up to tubes and monitors.
"What the hell happened?" I demand.
"She had the same suspicions as you regarding Damian and Iris. She went to the loft to confront them and...I felt like something was wrong. I had Nash come with me to check, and we found her lying in a pool of her own blood. She was healing but slowly."
"Ho...is she going to wake up?"
"With time, she will, but..."
"And our baby? Did our baby...."
"Her doctor came by to do a check-up, and despite Anna's injuries, no harm came to the baby, which is why she's taking so long to heal. She did everything in her power to protect her baby that it left her vulnerable." Cecile explains. I hold onto Annan's hand tightly, worried that I could lose her any second.
"Please wake up." I beg her. I kiss her hand and wish to switch positions with her more than anything. I want to take all of her pain away and put it on me.

"I'll leave you two alone." Cecile exits the medical bay as I cling to my wife, hoping I will hear her voice even if it's yelling at me.
"I can't lose you. Not like this." I whisper. "Can't say how the days will unfold."
