I think everyone but Barry feels the tension in the room as I teleport, Cisco, Nora, Shay, him, and I back to STAR Labs. Levitating Shay to the medical bed was tricky as we all feared he would wake up and possibly attack. We all wait anxiously for Shay to wake so we can see if the cure worked on him. "Where am I?" Shay roars as he sits up in his bed. "Who are you?" I hold him back with my powers but he continues to fight against them. "Just get off me!"

"It's okay." Tanya comes to his rescue getting him to calm down. "They're friends." When I feel like he won't attack I release Shay from my powers and take a step back from him.

"Tanya." Shay greets her.

"Yeah, it's...it's me." Tanya confirms. Shay finally notices he's no longer King Shark and it takes him a second to let that all sink in.

"I'm...me? How?"

"We call it the cure." Barry speaks up first. "It's a serum that suppresses dark matter in meta-humans. You're the first person to take it." Cisco, Caitlin, and I glare at Barry at his choice of words.

"Well, except you didn't take it." Caitlin comments. Barry brushes it off like it was nothing.

"We, um, we gave it to you." Cisco explains.

"My...my head is still swirling around. Are you saying I'm human again? Forever?" Shay asks Tanya.

"Almost." I interrupt. "We developed the cure to work on the human part of a meta-human. The animal part of your brain fought back a little bit." I explain as Caitlin pulls up Shay's scans.

"There's still some dark matter in your pituitary gland, but with this new data we should be able to address the cure and the next dose should be permanent." Caitlin explains to him but we can all tell this is too much for him to understand at one time.

"Monsieur Lamden, I should introduce myself." Sherloque steps forward. "Sherloque Wells. You've probably heard of me."

"No one's heard of you." Damian comments from the back and Sherloque silences him.

"I have a question I've been debating in my brain. What drives the King Shark? Is it the shark, or is it the man?" Sherloque asks.

"Is this really the time to ask him that Sherloque?" I scold him.

"It's just a question."

"If you're asking should I be held accountable for my actions, my answer is simple. Yes, I should." He searches again for Tanya and focuses on her. "I don't remember how many people I hurt, or who, but that's no excuse." Shay explains.

"What do you remember?" Nora asks.

"Fragments. Glimpses. One day, I was a scientist. The next, I was trapped in that body and everything felt heightened like my emotions were on steroids. And the rage...there was so much rage." Shay tells us.

"It's because of your amygdala." I chime in. "Shark's amygdala triggers a huge emotional response when it feels attacked." I explain.

"Perhaps that's why you escaped today. You were frightened." Sherloque theorizes.

"No one could be frightened of String Bean and Rapunzel." Damian jokes.

"I don't know. Today felt different. I don't remember much before I started using Tanya's crown, but since then, my mind and memory have been much clearer. And I especially remember the kindness that you showed me." Shay is looking directly at Tanya and anyone can see there is love between them. He reaches out to hold her hand but it begins to transform back into a shark.
