- Ocean -

Esemais's words repeat in my head, long after she leaves and goes home.

Ocean, whether you admit it or not, you're homeless. Your mother checks up on you once a week?! That's not how mothers should act!

Ocean, whether you admit it or not, you're homeless.

Ocean, whether you admit it or not, you're homeless.

You're homeless.

You're homeless.

I'm homeless.

My mind remembers my mother, as she glares at me. Her eyes, always darting away, not able to look me in the eye for more than a minute. I remember Carp, always looking for some excuse to hurt me.

I turn and look into the forest encompassed in the dark of the night. I run, run into the forest, away from... everything. Carp. Mom. My pains and sorrows. I run. Away into the dark of the night.
