The vision comes when I'm asleep. A Vision of death and hardship. I gasp awake, my eyes flashing open, but I cannot escape the memories of the vision. The memories remain burned in my mind.
To distract myself, I peer through the wall at the trees beyond. I see everything. I see each tree, I see each pine cone, I see each pine needle. I see each bug, I see each animal. I see each blade of grass, I see everything. I see each atom, I see each neutron. I see a million possibilities, I see a million pasts. I see everything. I see the pions sleeping after a long day of hunting. I see Cloie as she sleeps with her mate Japo. I see through the ground at the magma core. I see everything, yet everything cannot distract me from those horrible futures I see coming.
