Brittney lays in her bed in front of me. Her eyes flick from Ocean to me. "Who's this?" she asks.

"My little sister," Ocean says.

"Oh, okay. I didn't know you even had a younger sibling."

"Yeah," he replies.

"I can see that you're worried," I interrupt their small talk, "but you don't have to fear. I can see that your injuries will heal without leaving any mark other than your memories and the way you've grown."

She blinks, "um... thank you?"

"You're welcome."

"Is she always like this?" Brittney says, turning to Ocean.

"If your referring to the 'I can see' thing, then yes, pretty much."

She gives me a weird look.

I smirk at her in answer before digging my wing into my satchel. I remove three scrolls. One wrinkled, one covered in singe marks, and one clean and new. I unroll them to reveal the same words on each of them:

Three with disabilities; three with abilities. They will live with untold lies; they will live with hidden truth.

"Where did you get that?!" demands Brittney.

"Nowhere. I just found it buried in the fire zone."

"There's... three of them..." she notices.

"Yep. I'm the third, and I know what the prophecy means."

"Oh? You do now? How? I've had this thing my whole life, and I have no idea what it means," she hisses.

"If she says she knows something, than she knows it. That's her ability, she knows things," Ocean answers.

"Uh, Ocean," I say, "that isn't completely correct. I do know things, but that isn't my ability, my ability is that I can see everything. My disability is that I'm deaf. I have awesome eyesight, but no hearing."

"You're deaf?!" Ocean asks, his voice full of surprise and disbelief.

I smile, "well, yes. I may not act like I'm deaf, but if you could read my mind, you would see that I think in pictures. My eyesight makes up for my lack of hearing. When you talk to me when I'm not looking at you, I usually will receive a vision of you, which helps me know what you're saying."

"Isn't she your sister? You didn't even know that your sister was deaf?" Brittney questions.

"Well, she's only been alive for two weeks, and besides, like she already said, she doesn't act deaf," my brother answers.

"Back to topic," I say, "Ocean, what do you think your ability is?"

"Um... I don't know."

"Your magic."

"My magic? But you have magic, too. How is my magic any different than yours?"

"Your magic is stronger than mine," I quirk a grin, "you will learn to do many things with your magic, many things I will never do. Your upbringing will affect how you use your magic. In school, I will learn to create waves and currents, while you will have learned to create bubbles of water, and use water as a weapon. You will learn to do things that, no matter how hard I try, I will never be able to do. Now, your disability?"

"My lack of good schooling?"

I nod, "yes," I say, "Brittney?"

"I... I don't have an ability."

"Yes you do, you just haven't found it yet."

"What's your disability?"

She frowns at me, "You're not going to tell me what my ability is, like you told Ocean?"

"No, you haven't discovered it yet, but don't worry, you will find it in do time. Your disability?"

"You already know it."

"Just say it."

"Fine. I have no magic."

"Now," I say, " I guess I'll say what the 'They will live with untold lies' part means. This part refers to how each of us had a lie of sorts that for the past while we've been telling everyone. Ocean, your lie is that you're a mer cat dragon and that you used to not have a home. Brittney, your lie is that you don't have magic. And my lie is that I can see everything, and that I am deaf. Now that your lies have been revealed, we will soon reach the 'hidden truth' of our lives."

"What is the 'hidden truth' talking about?" asks Brittney.

"Believe it or not, even I have no clue," I respond, "I guess we will figure it out, won't we."

We sit in silence for a while, before I pass the prophecies back to their owners. The charred one to Brittney, the wrinkled one to Ocean, and the new one to me.
