- Ocean -

"Ocean, there's a fire. You need to stop it. Only you can stop it," Emerald says, giving me a knowing look.

I gasp, do kittens normally start speaking when they first hatch?

"Ocean, listen to me. Look outside. There is a fire. You need to stop it."

"There's a... fire?"

"Yes, there is. I know what you're thinking, do kittens normally start speaking when they first hatch? The answer is, no, normally, they learn to speak, as they get older. I'm not a normal kitten."

I just stare at her, feeling amazed. She really did guess what I was thinking. Amazing.

"Ocean, you're not taking me seriously. You know Brittney? The kitten dragon you met in the forest, after you ran away? Well, you need to help her. Her fire is too big, to wild. She is trying to stop it, but she's only making it worse."

These words make me pause. This is not some normal kitten. She knows things.

This time, I obey. I run to the exit and out the door, even though Ti tries to stop me. Sure enough, a fire burns the forest. I run strait towards it. Once I get closer, I feel the heat wafting off it, I smell the pungent sent of smoke, and I notice the small forms of cat dragons flying above, trying to put it out. The fire only spreads, eating everything in its path. It nears the city, soon, it will eat that, too.

Only you can stop it, Emerald's words resonate in my mind. Somehow, I know them to be true.

Usually, I try to avoid flying, I'd rather walk. This time, however, I jump into the air, flying towards the flames, towards the burning heat.

Only you can stop it. How? How can I stop it? The answer comes to me. I'm a mer cat dragon. I can manipulate water. Only you can stop it. Because I'm a mer cat dragon. The only mer cat dragon living on land. All the others wouldn't even know about the fire.

I soar over the lake, staring at its endless depths. I close my eyes, and summon the water to me. I feel its power, washing over me. I feel it tugging on me, sapping my strength, as I gather more water in one floating cascade than I've ever collected before in my live.  I open my eyes to see a water tornado swirling around me. I make an opening in the tornado, where I fly through, and close the hole behind me. I close my eyes and command the water to form it into a ball.

It forms more of a water globe, than a ball. I watch it as little streams of liquid fall off it. I turn back towards the fire. Only you can stop it.
