- Ocean -

A cat dragon peaks through the door. "Hello," Ti cries, "are you here to-"

I jump, bonking the desk, making the bell on top ring.

"Hey, are you okay? Did I startle you?"

Her eyes twinkle with the concern that I have yet to be familiar with.

"Yeah," I mutter, "I-I'm okay."

It takes her a second before she recognizes me, before she realizes who I am, she squints at me, obviously confused why a cat at my age would go to the orphanage. Her eyes widen. "Ocean! You came! I was getting ready to send the Fierce Fighters after you!" she says, mentioning the police force of the land cat dragons.

"Here, I have something you're going to have to fill out. It's a form, signifying that you're going to live here temporarily, while your family situations get checked out and fixed." She walks to the other side of the desk and opens a small drawer on the left of her side of the table. She takes out a stack of papers. In their top left corner, a hole has been punched through them, where a string attaches the pages together.

I stare at the papers, feeling overwhelmed. It's a little difficult to fill out a form when you don't know how to read.

"You're not going to be able to easily 'check out and fix' my family situation," I say. "Um... Am I the one who has to fill it out?"

"Well, yeah," she replies.

Finding no other way around that, I realize that... I'm going to have to tell the truth... aren't I.
