Jazmin's P.O.V.

I haven't been that the boys house in almost a week. It looks exactly the same, but something feels off as I walk up the steps. When I open the door, I am surprised to see Jc, Ricky, and Connor standing there. I thought they wouldn't be here yet.

"You're two soldiers and Prince." Sam announces.

"Happy Birthday!"

"Stop growing up!"

"I am giving you your first drink."

They hug me all at once and I laugh.

"I'm 18, Jc. You are three years too early."

"Yeah, I call dibs though." He smiles. It's nice that he is picturing me in his life three years from now.

"Happy Birthday, blah blah blah. Hurry up!" Kian calls from the kitchen. They smile even more and I think that I am not getting myself into something I shouldn't when I follow them.

I am surprised by decorations hanging from the ceiling and walls. I could tell that they worked hard and I am positive that since they did, I am the me to clean this up tomorrow. But I am even more surprised when I see my friends standing there. I don't need a million friends for this night to be special and perfect. All I need is the dozen I have.

"Have you hit puberty yet?" Jeremy asks me when I hug him.

"Hello to you too." I pull back laughing.

"Are you alright, man?" I overhear Nate. "It looks like you're going to pass out."

"I'm fine." Marley mumbles and turns around to meet his eyes. He is pale and looks like he is on the verge of hitting the floor. He leans against the wall and closes his eyes.

"Is he okay?" Jeremy asks me, noticing the same thing I did.

"He will be." I sigh. "Excuse me?"

He gives me a lopsided smile. "Are you kidding, Jaz? You still do that? Just go." He waves me away. What is He talking about?

"Still do what?" I ask.

"Just the awkward lean in excuse me thing you do. It's cute." He says and turns away and jumps into Mark and Ricky's conversation. He doesn't give me a choice but to go do what I got distracted from.

"Jazmin!" I make a 360 too quickly to be met with piercing blue eyes and a smiling maniac. I didn't think they would come. I didn't think anyone would be here for that matter. "Happy Birthday!" They take turns hugging me and over their shoulder I see more people walk into the living room. Some I recognize but have never met in person.

"Hi." Is all I manage to say.

"You're still going to be shy with us?" Nash frowns.

"I thought we were like BFFs for life." Cam says trying to hold back his smile.

"I am just out of it right now." I admit and glance back at the wall to check on Marley but he's gone.

"You will be back in it soon." Cam assures me. I hope he's right.

Before I can even begin to look for Marley I am yanked away by Andrea. I didn't even notice her here, but why wouldn't she be. Not for me, but for Kian.

"Happy Birthday, girl! Are you having fun?" Her smile is so perfect, it makes me even more insecure about mine. She is so perfect, which makes me a million times more insecure being in the same room as her.

"Thank you. I am."

Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday.
