Sam's P.O.V.

I noticed Jazmin wasn't the same. She looked like she had something on her mind. After a while I realized she still hadn't eaten anything. I shared some of my food with her, because I had a lot. She didn't seem very happy, but she still smiled. Her smile is so beautiful. It lights up the whole room.

Kian and I kept making weird faces and noises for no reason. Jazmin found it amusing, she could not stop laughing. After she laughed for about five minutes straight, she covered her mouth and got still.

I noticed her starring at something outside the window. I turned in the direction she was starring at and saw some guys walking.

"Can we please go?" She put her hand on my arm.

"Do you know those guys?" I asked her. I felt her hand shaking on my arm. I knew she did, but I had to ask anyway. She nodded. I saw tears forming in her eyes.

We heard the entrance door open and I turned to see them walking in. Kian and I both starred at them. They look like regular guys. But they must have done something to make Jazmin act this way.

Jazmin moved her hand away and put it in her lap. She looked down and started to figit with her hands.  put my hand over her's to get her attention. She moved away a little, but then grabbed my hand still not looking up at me.

"Kian, we should go." I told him, not removing my eyes from Jazmin.

"Alright. Let's go." He stood up. He grabbed the trash on the table and walked over to the trash can to throw it away.

"It's okay. We've going now." I reassured her. She squeezed my hand. I took that as a thank you.

I stood up, with my hand still in her's. I heard her take a deep breath and then she stood up too. She still wouldn't look up. I decided to lift her chin up so she could look at me. She starred back at me with a blank expression. She seemed gone. I leaned down and kissed her forehead. I smiled at her, hoping she would smile back. She needs to smile. She gave me what I think was the best smile she could give me right now. I took it.

"Jazmin?" I heard a guy from the group ask.

He began to walk towards us.

Jazmin's P.O.V.

"Jazmin?" Marley asked.

I was hoping he or any of his friends wouldn't notice me. I tried to keep my head down, but Sam made me look up.

"What are you doing here?" He stood in front of me. "I thought you were taking Omar to your Itzel's job?" He looked over at Sam, realizing that I was with someone he didn't know. He looked back at me with a confused look.

"Um, I did already. Uh- I .. he's.. uh.." I couldn't get the words out. I looked up at Sam hoping he'd introduce himself. I'm not good at talking when I'm nervous. He did exactly what I hoped he did.

"Sam." He said with smile and put his hand out.

"Marley." Marley said and shook Sam's hand. Talk about awkward right now.

"Hey Marley, c'mon bro." A familiar voice said. Josh walked towards us and I moved closer to Sam. I just met him today, and I already feel like he can protect me.

"I'm going. Just wait." Marley told him. Josh muttered something when he saw me and walked back to his group. They all started to whisper things and looking at me one at a time.

"Well, we gotta go Marley." I tried to make it seem like we really had to go, instead of me just wanting to leave as fast as possible.

"Oh well, okay. I'll see you later?" He told me and took his hands out of his pockets.
