Marley's P.O.V.

She's sitting at the end of the bed facing away from me, and hasn't said a thing to me since I had left to take a shower. I didn't want to bother her while she was reading, so I made her dinner, but she ignored me when I told her a half hour ago that I was going to.

"Are you still mad at me?" I ask her. "I let you read for almost two hours. Talk to me please. I made you food." I practically beg.

"I wasn't mad at you." She mumbles and closes her book. "Did you really make me food?"

"Yes, I did." I wait for her to turn around, but she doesn't. "Why were you ignoring me?"

"I didn't hear you until now." She says as she begins turn turn her body towards me. She looks at me like she doesn't believe I had talked to her before now. "I'm sorry, Marley."

"How's your cheek?" I ask. I can't see it very well so I move closer.

"Okay." She shrugs with a frown that is replacing her smile. "You're mean. You know that?"

"Me? Mean." I almost laugh. "Why do you say that?"

"Because." She tosses her book at me. What did I do.. She wouldn't just throw a book at me like that, if I hadn't done something. I don't know what I could have done though. "Have you done your English essay?" She asks as she takes off her jeans. She struggles and almost tips over.

"Yes, bu-"

"What about the thing Mr. Bennett wants tomorrow?" She pulls her jeans the rest off the way off and takes off her shirt.

"Yeah, but I-"

"Are you sure?" She stops and looks at me. I don't take my eyes off hers. I sorta see what she's doing.

"No.. Well, yes, but I need help with some of it." I say as she walks closer. "Why are you half naked?"

"Because I can be." She says, and it sounds completely like her, but it's still weird since she never liked to be exposed. She's changed in front of me multiple times, but it was always quick and I always tried not to stare.

"Okay.. but, uh.."

"I'm not trying to seduce you. Relax." She laughs and I smile, knowing I have my playful girl standing in front of me right now. "But do you see anything different?"

"So I'm suppose to look at you?" I quirk my head up at her. "Is this a trick?"

"No, Marley. This is like really, really hard." She takes my hands in hers. "Look and tell me what's different."

"If it's about you being fatter, that's a good thing." I say and she rolls her eyes. "Besides, the majority of that is muscle." I poke her stomach and she jerks away.

"Thanks." She looks down at the ground.

I don't know what she wants me to see. She looks beautiful, that's for sure. She's completely exposed, which she was and I think still isn't comfortable with, to show me what? I see her perfect self, but that's all I ever seen.

Except.. what she never wanted me to see. I look down at her wrists and see hardly anything there like the other night. The small cuts she had from pinching herself are gone. The old cuts have faded away. There's just the one cut that had nothing to do with what she did to herself. The cut from when her dad got mad, for the stupidest thing ever, and smashed her guitar and threw it at her. She stayed with me for a week when that happened. I can still remember her scared and crying.

Assuming I'm right about her wrists, I look further down at her thighs. The last time I really saw them was when she was in the hospital, but she doesn't know that. They're clear and smooth, nothing like the red and purple it was months ago.
