Marley's P.O.V.
I held her in my arms for what seemed like hours trying to comfort her. She wouldn't stop crying. She knows better than to believe these things are true about her. She won't stop repeating them to herself. It's disgusting to see these things being said and I can't do anything to stop it. More and more keeps of this bullshit will ruin Jazmin completely.
I know she's strong, but there's only so much she can handle before she just breaks.
"Marley.. why-y d-do you pu-put u-up with me-e?" She tried hard to make out the words as best as she could. I kept holding her letting her cry into my chest.
The rest of the guys cleared out a few minutes after James and Sam ran out. I don't know where they ran off to, but I hope they didn't go do something stupid.
"What do you mean why?" I pulled her hair out of her face to see her eyes bloodshot red. Her lip was trembling and tears were still rolling off her face. I don't know if I will be able to see her this way again this week. Once was bad enough. Now again, not just again.. but like last time.
"I h-have done n-noth-thing for y-you.. why are y-you still around?" She still stuttered. She seemed to be shaking more now. This always happened when We were younger, but it had stopped.
"Don't talk like that. Please don't." I brought her closer to me, if that was even possible and she began to whimper louder. "Please. This is just another little set back. You can get through this. Don't let yourself fall. Please."
"Too late." She said with no emotion.
"No, you can't just give up." I tilted her head up towards me. "I want to hear You say it. Say it. Say you can get through this. I know you can."
"I .. I can.. I can't do this." She moved her face away from mine. "Who are we both trying to fool. It'll just happen again."
"So what if it does? You'll ignore it and forget. Like you always do. You can get through it."
"I'm sorry." She pushed herself away from me and laid face down on the floor. "I'm so sorry for being weak.." She was back to crying.
I can't even describe how heart breaking it is to see her this way. Earlier she was the happiest she was in a long time. Where's that girl? Why did someone have to ruin that for her? Why can't she get a break from this horrible life that's attached to her? Why can't their be answers for any of my questions..
"We are given the power to ask the questions, but we pay the price of not being able to know every answer." She gains the strength to say. The way She can deep in this moment that's she's at her lowest surprises me.
"Please sit up and talk to me." I put my hand on her back and she flinched. It took her a minute, but she pulled herself up and tackled me.
"Iamsofuckedupintheheadrightnow." She mumbled into my shoulder. I could barely make it out.
"You should try out for the team. You're stronger than you look." I joked, wrapping my arms around her. She laughed a little making me feel accomplished, but it shortly faded when we heard a door open.
"Is she okay?" James asked confused. She made no attempt to get up.
"Jazmin, you're scaring them." I patted her pack softly and she slowly got up and crawled to the corner.
"She's not good." I whispered to James. Sam was watching from a distance. We looked at each other for a few seconds until he shifted his gaze towards her. He looked just as broken as she did. He was quick on his feet to turn around and run up the stairs. "What happened?"
