Jazmin's P.O.V.
"Hey Emma, how do you feel?" All the boys yell at her making her scream and stomp away.
When I turn around to walk away, I come to finally face the crowd. It gives most of them the recognition of who I am.
"Mommy! Do you see who that is!?" I can hear Aimee loud and clear. I wave at her and she waves back excitingly.
The protective moms look like they are about to faint. I know it's hard enough for them to deal with James and Marley almost getting themselves killed game after game, and now I'm here in the middle of it.
"If you die, I swear I'll kill you!" Very enthusiastic Kian.
I give them all a small smile and grab the Gatorade bottle I had intended to get five minutes ago. I down half of it before James walks up to me.
"I'm really proud of you." He says grabbing my left arm.
"I played ten minutes, nothing to be proud of." I pinch him and he throws my hand down. I didn't even know what he was doing. "That's for calling me bae." I drink the rest of the Gatorade and and set is aside, and walk back to Marley.
"None of that proud shit yet." I out my hand up silencing him before he can start.
"I was going to say nice call faking it with Jeremy."
"You were right." Jeremy walks up. "They all went after you and left a clear spot open."
"Sorry about Emma." I say to both of them. They both look at each other for a few seconds and turn back to me. "You're not a home wrecker, and you are definitely not a fag." The words feels nasty coming out of my mouth.
"You got dog piled by like four guys and you're apologizing to us about some girl saying dumb stuff to us?" Jeremy looks lost. "Did they hit your head or somethi-" He starts laughing when I push him away.
Just thirty more minutes. I put on my beanie and then helmet. Coach goes on and on about something, and I try to keep up, but nothing g processes before we are already being forces into the field.
"He said blah blah blah team work, blah boa blah go get them." Mark translates, probably knowing I was lost.
"Can you suck maybe a little? You're making us all look bad." Nate says as we're getting into formation.
Oh please.
"Hey Marley." I look in front of me to see a new player in front of that's objection is to knock me down. "Who's the rookie?"
There we go again. Rookie. Is that really all I am.
"Long time no talk Max." Max? .. Is it really him..
"That guy sure packs a punch." The guy browsed back with my shoulder says, now a couple feet away from my left.
"Can't believe you, of all people, would let your coach bring in a newbie at a time like this." Max says, ignoring what someone behind him is trying to tell him.
"Actually, I brought a newbie in but sure is working for us though, isn't it?"
"Take Max down." Jeremy whispers , switching spots with me.
"I can't." I'm pretty sure I can't take any of them down. I don't do defense. I'm weak as fuck.
Besides, I know how Max plays. Rough. He's been knocking people down for as long as I remember and I was always there to pick that person up and throw him at a wall. Guess I was good and bad.
"Come on! If you survive a blow like you did a couple minutes ago, You can take down little ol' Max there." Jeremy says, loud enough for Max to hear.
