Jazmin's P.O.V.

"I told you that you'd be okay." Marley says while pouring water on his face.

"I haven't done anything."

Marley told me that they would play with some guy I don't know for at least half of the game and then I would have to step in. The guy that is suppose to be be replacing Tyler keeps being knocked down, along with a lot of other people on our team.

I'm surprised I haven't ran away after seeing person after person getting carried of the field. Venice is being ruthless. We aren't doing very good, I think that they're.best shot is having Marley stay in the whole game.

"Why don't you talk?" Jeremy sits down next to me and winces when Mark punches him on the shoulder.

I saw someone straight up stomp on his shoulder yet nothing was called. I'm worried something like that'll happen to me for sure, but then I don't want the idea to take over ny brain.

I finally shrug at his question.

Not talking for an hour hasn't been easy. I had some pretty close calls when there was a chance to cheer. I'm not usually the cheering type, but something about this being their last game is kinda getting to me.

"Don't freak out now, but you might want to turn around and look in the center." James whispers in the side of the open part of my helmet.

I turn around and scan the crowd I haven't bothered to look at once. I see Aimee screaming her head off and Marley's mom shaking her head and saying something to James' mom. I look further to the right and see them.

"Shit." I turn back to James and pull him down, making him fall on his knees in front of me. "What are they doing here?"

"Why would they want to miss this?" He says with a smile, making me push him back. "Don't worry, they don't know who you are. We just told them that they wouldn't want to miss this."

I turn back to see them again. Smiling, laughing, looking like they are just enjoying themselves. I love seeing them this way.

"It's time." Coach puts a hand on my shoulder.

In shame my head at the first thing that came to mind.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

Not time for music.

I stand up and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Mark, Jeremy, Nate, let's go." Coach instructs them.

Marley jogs up to me and pulls me forward.

"You got this bae!" James screams making me roll my eyes.

"You know what to do." He let's go and I nod. Everyone gathers around and Marley says a whole bunch of things, but it's hard to process right now. "Basically.." he says to on my me. "I am going to get it, pass it to Jeremy, Mark and someone is going to block two people and have to try to get through there, get the ball from Jeremy, and run like a fat kid that wants ice cream from an ice cream truck that won't stop."

"So typical Tuesday after noon." I joke and he laugh as he puts my mouth guard in my mouth.

"You got it?"

I look at the score board and back at him. 0-0.

"This is nothing." I say to myself. I take the mouth guard out for a second. "Unless.. is this a dream?" He slaps my helmet. "Okay, not a dream, but I got it." I put the mouth guard in my mouth again and clench my teeth.
