Sam's P.O.V.

"She was what?" They all ask at once.

"Yeah.." I sigh. "She was like 13.. maybe."

"Sam, that isn't something to joke about.." Jc says.

"Why would I joke about that? You know she was damaged."

"She wasn't damaged, Sam." Connor defends her, like always. "But that isn't something to talk about.. Did she really tell you or are you making this up?"

"She was crying.. and she did a lot of that so I don't know how long ago it was, but it was one of those nights that she told me. I can't remember how." I tell them honestly.

"Why are you telling us that to begin with? That's private." Connor says, completely disapproving of this like he has all my other actions. "You can't go around blurting things like that out."

"Because.." I press my lips together for a second and try to compose my anger. "She lied to me.. to all of us. Her parents forced her to have an abortion, apparently. She claimed to not have a clue. She lied to me.." I put my face in my hands. How could she do that?

"Why would she make that up?" Kian asks. "That's not something you think of from the top of your head to say. It's not like she's an actor, or anything, Sam. It wouldn't make sense."

"How did she lie?"

"She obviously got pregnant." I look up at them. "She has two kids, so she's done it twice."

"What?" Connor stands up. "Sam, stop.. Listen to yourself. Who are you?"

I choose not to answer him. "I don't know if she was really raped or not.. but she got pregnant either way. I don't think her parents forced her to have an abortion, but maybe did something to the kids she had? I don't know. I didn't ask for details when she yelled at me to leave." My words come out a lot harsher than I expected.

"You're so full of shit, Sam." Jc stands up, next to Connor. "Stop assuming."

"I can't look at you right now." Connor says and walks out of the room.

"You have to stop this shit, Sam. You're driving yourself and us crazy. Just let her be happy." Kian says to me, following Connor up the stairs.

"Ricky.. you know." I say and he shakes his head.

"What I know is that we are both thinking of two different Jazmins. Really Sam, She and all of us are tired of this." Ricky leaves too.

"Jc.."

"Stop, man. I don't know what you think you're going to win from this.." He says to me. I am not surprised to see him be the last one to leave me in the room alone.

"You guys.. I'm not making this up! She has kids!" I don't know why I have such an obsession to be right about this, but I do. I am right. She does have kids.. I just don't know how she could keep that from us if she really was who she was saying she was. It isn't like there's just one. There's two of them.

"I know she has two children, Sam." Connor starts stomping down the stairs. "There's two.. A boy and a girl. Jake and Charlotte. They are four. She told me about them.. I have met them. You have no idea what you're talking about. You also don't have a right to start blabbing out things like you just did. She wanted to tell them." He points back to the stairs where everyone is starting to gather back up. "She was going to tomorrow. Why are you messing everything up for her? Remember when you told me you love her? This isn't what you do to someone you love. You're making me sicker and sicker each day." He stops to catch his breath. "Why are you looking me like that? What? Are you going to hit me too?"

"Connor!" Ricky pushes him away. "Stop it! All of you!"

"I'm leaving." I announce not that anyone actually cares.

"No, Sam. Don't." Jc says, coming out if his room. "Bad things happen when someone leaves."

"What do you care?" I push past him. "You have plenty of new friends you can use a substitute." I say and he doesn't say a thing as I walk out the door and slam it shut.

I walk around for I don't know how long before I end somewhere that looks familiar. It wasn't my intention to get here. I see her school and I turn on my heal. I walk away fast, but school's already out and I just have a bad feeling that I won't get away without someone talking to me, for whatever reason.

I feel strange, being able to recognize the sound of a group a girl's laugh. I feel stupid, for turning around.

"Sam!" Emma gasps and runs the rest of the way to me. "Hey, what has you all pouty?"

"What do you care?" I snap.

"I care about everyone." She smiles. "I know I been a bitch. I'm sorry. I've changed." She says. I can't tell if she's telling the truth or lying.

I probably should ignore her. I should walk faster. Run even. But I don't. I walk slower so she can be right next to me. She smiles, noticing I'm giving her a chance. Why am I doing that? She hurt Jazmin, a lot... but Jazmin hurt me. Why does it even matter anymore.

"Sorry for being a bitch."

"I honestly don't care." I still won't pretend like I do.

"What's bothering you?" She asks. "Wait, why are you here? Picking up Jazmin? You're going the wrong way." She smiles even more as she points out the obvious.

"No, her boyfriend is giving her a ride. In more ways than one." I know I shouldn't have said that, especially around Emma.

"But you.." She looks at me confused. "Whatever." She flips her hair back as if she was sending my comment away with it. "No offense, but you're girlfriend is sort of... uh, I'm not used to saying these things nicely... so um, an unfaithful one? God, I sound like an idiot."

"A little." I say and she laughs. "I can't do anything about what she does."

"You should try." She demands. "She won't let me talk to Marley at all. It's so annoying. She forces him to ignore me." Of course her only concern is for Marley and nothing else.

"How?" I ask, not that I really care. I guess she isn't so bad though. She isn't terrible company, considering we're mad at the same people.

"I text him, he doesn't answer. I call him and either she answers and tells me to leave him alone or it goes straight to voicemail. I feel like she's poisoned him. All the other guys too. They follow her like she's some sort of princess." She cringed as she finishes. "Sorry, I'll talk to you, but won't pretend I like her."

"Sure." I don't know what to think kg anything anymore. Well, I really haven't for a while.

"Why aren't you defending her? Yelling at me? Why haven't you walked away from me?" She asks. She looks around and so do I. Her friends are long gone and we're far enough to not be able to see the school any more.

"There isn't a reason to." I shrug, which is pretty much true. I don't need to defend her. I don't need to yell at her. I don't need to walk away. "Are you busy?"

"Not really." She shrugs with a smile. "Why?"

"Want to do something? To get our minds off our significant others? I think we both need it." I suggest and she smiles even more. Her smile isn't that bad. It isn't as evil as I remember.

"I would love to do something with Mr. Pottorff." She links her arm with mine. I think about moving away for a second, but decide against it, and walk beside her. "Wait, when was the last time you went to a high school party? There's one tonight at my friends house. You should ditch your girlfriend and have some fun. I know she isn't into what you may be into. Really, you should come with me."

"That doesn't sound like a problem." I say and she squeals and begins to talk about how excited she is like it's all she ever wanted.
