Jazmin's P.O.V.

"Really?" Jeremy smiles. "So we're like uncles?"

They're still taking this surprisingly well. I nod and they begin to argue about who's going to be liked most. I'm happy that there isn't a lot of questions asked. The ones that are asked are about what their names are, what they look like. If they're troublemakers or not. Even though I've already told them a few times before. Just because I'm sure they know I like talking about them.

"Marley and I are going to pick them up now." I open the car door and get in. I look up at them and shield my eyes from the sun. "You can come meet them later.. If you want, I mean.."

"Duh, we want to." Jeremy and Mark say together, and I smile at them and wave goodbye.

"It's not bad at all." Marley says. "I told you, no one will take any of this the wrong way."

No one, being Sam.

"I guess." I shrug. "You think they did okay? Do you think they made friends? Had fun? You think they forgot about me?"

What if something bad happened? No. They would have called me. What if the other kids didn't like them? No, they're nice, funny, and perfect. They had to be liked. They could have fun doing anything. But forgetting me.. that is very much possible.

"You're so cute when you're worried." He laughs when I glare at him.

"I'm serious." I stare at the buildings as we pass by them. "What if they did? What if I get there and they're like who are you? Marley, stop laughing!" I punch his arm, but he continues. I join him, but I'm still worrying in my head.

"Jazmin, Jake and Charlotte are obsessed with you. How are they going to forget you in a few hours? They almost started crying this morning." He puts his hand on my thigh and squeezes it. "The only thing you should be worried about is what you're going to wear at the party later."

"Are you saying that a stupid high school party is more important than my twins?" I gasp.

"No, but it's more important than the crazy idea in your head that they have forgotten about you." He says. "Now, what are you wearing?"

"I'm not going." I lock my fingers with his and stare at our hands. "One is enough for me."

"I didn't know about what happened with James.." He mumbles. "I shouldn't have left you alone."

"It doesn't matter. I just rather stay home with the kids." I tell him and add. "It's not really my scene anyways and you know it." I pull out my new old phone, Marley's old one but my new one, and reply to Cindy's text message.

"Do you want me to go with you?" He asks once he parks in front of the small school.

"Um.." I look back and fourth. "No, I got it." It'll only take a few minutes.

I jump out of the car and try not to run in. I get buzzed into the building and walk through the halls to the classroom. I walk through the open door and look through the children, but don't see them anywhere. Before panic sets in, I hear their small voices.

"Do you think mommy is going to get here soon?" Charlotte asks.

"Yeah, she said the small hand will be at the three and the big one will be at the five." Jake answers.

"She's right there!" I spot her the second she points at me.

Their teacher looks up and smiles. She walks over as I look for their names on the clipboard to sign them out.

"Mommy, we had so much fun!" Charlotte puts her arms up for me to pick her up. I do and Jake holds my hand.

"Really? I want to hear all about it in the car." I rub my nose against hers and she hide her face in the crook of my neck. "Hello, Ms. C. Thank you."
