January easily wove into February as the second task loomed. Draco and I met up almost daily, hiding in empty library aisles, hidden behind statues or available cupboards. Sometimes we'd just sit and talk about our days or sometimes we'd just kiss while my heart tried not to go into cardiac arrest.

Harry had been even more closed off recently as the second task was two days away, while Ginny had been given a detention for hitting one of the Slytherins, who was making fun of her second hand books. This left me free to meet Draco, which was planned to be by the one eyed witch statue.

I had barely come to a stop before Draco came out from his hiding place and wrapped me into his arms, "Hello Sweetheart."
"Draco," I smiled pushing up onto my tiptoes and wrapping my arms around his neck, "How was your day?"
"I missed you," He always knew how to make me swoon but I could tell something else was up so as he leaned down to kiss me I stepped back, making me visible to anyone walking past the corridor. "Fine. Blaise is driving me crazy complaining that he never gets to hang out with you."
"Does Blaise know?"
"He thinks he does but I haven't confirmed or denied the fact."

"Rose!" Someone yelled from the end of the corridor. My head snapped to the side to see Cedric walking towards me.
"Hide," I hissed shoving Draco behind the statue before turning and smiling at Cedric. I moved forwards a few steps making sure he wouldn't be able to hear Draco's colourful complaints.

"Hey Cedric," I smiled trying not to tap my foot in impatience.
"Hey, how are you?" Cedric tried to talk niceties but I could tell I he wanted something else.
I shook my head, "I'm good but I know that's not why you wanted to talk to me."
Cedric looked a bit taken aback that I had called him out, "I was actually wondering where Harry was? I wanted to tell him something."
"He said something about visiting Hagrid. You can always tell me and I can tell him later," I reassured curious as to what was going on.
"That's alright. I'll go find him," Cedric turned to walk back the way he came before looking over his shoulder and calling back to me, "Have fun with whoever you hid behind the statue."

He left me gapping at him as he disappeared round the corner. How did he know? Did he see? He didn't say Draco's name so hopefully he doesn't know who it is, which means he can't tell Harry. Cedric would definitely recognise Draco considering they're both Seekers on their house Quidditch teams.

I felt Draco's hand grab my wrist before he dragged me back to where he was hiding behind the statue.
"Draco," I sighed as he smirked down at me, "I should probably go. That was a close call."
He wrapped his arm round my waist before tugging me flush against him, "The Hufflepuff told you to have some fun and I intend to."

Although I loved when Draco was being sweet, that smirk across his face was so irresistible. I tried to step back but his grip had me trapped, "What happened to just ten minutes would be enough if you had me?" I teased leaning my face up close to his yet keeping a slight distance.
"I lied."

Those two words were all his said before he kissed me with more passion than any other kiss within the last month. My legs went numb as I clung to him. One thought was running through my head 'more' but what 'more'. I felt my back come in contact with the stone statue as he pressed into me, taking all he could but giving back the same if not more.

I managed to free myself by pleading for air as Draco took to kissing along my jaw and down my neck. "Draco?" He hummed against my neck in acknowledgement as he continued his affections along my neck. "I really do have to go."
He pulled back and moved back to stand upright, looking down on me, "Stay."
"I can't, I promised Ginny we'd puzzle through the transfiguration homework."
Draco didn't pull back and remained firm in his position, "Which homework? McGonagall repeats assignments each year. I'll pull out whichever essay it was from last year."
Although it was sweet and very tempting I knew that if I wanted to pass my end of year exams I was going to have to understand the work, which meant not copying the assignment. "No, but I will accept your assistance with my potions essay tomorrow. Bring Blaise along so it won't matter if we're spotted in the library."
