Potter's Shadow (Draco Malfoy)

Chapter 6

Hermione, Ron and I were off to collect Harry from his detention that should have ended hours ago. Ron had already finished his detention and even had dinner in the Great hall with us but Harry hadn't shown. 

"Harry" Hermione spoke causing me to look up and see Harry who had just appeared from around the corner.

"Did you hear it?" He asked. 

"Hear what?" Ron responded. 

"That voice..." He responded looking around. 

"Voice. What voice?" Hermione and I responded. 

"I heard it first in Lockheart's office and then again just..." He paused. "It's moving." 

"What's moving Harry?" I asked. 

"Then it's going to kill." He spoke before running. 

"Your brother is weird Rose." Ron spoke. 

"Come on Ron..." Hermione and I said rushing after Harry.

He Harry ran further ahead before he stopped and turned around a corner while we carried on running after him. We pulled to a stop next to Harry to watch a line of spiders crawl out the window. 

"Strange. I've never seen spiders act like that." Harry remarked. 

"I don't like spiders." Ron spoke. 

"Neither do I Ron." I added. 

"What's that?" Ron spoke motioning to a reflection in the puddle next to us. 

'The Chamber Of Secrets has been opened enemies of the heir... beware'

Suddenly everyone started to appear. Fred and George with Gryffindor and Draco and the rest of the Slytherins. We were all staring at the poor Miss Norris, Filch's cat. 

"What's going on here. Come on.. Make way... Make way!" I heard a deep voice say. Then Filch appeared between Fred and George.

"Potter." He spoke while looking at my brother. "What are you.." His eyes drifted off Harry and onto poor Miss Norris. "Misses Norris. You've murdered my cat"

"No, No" Harry denied.

"I'll kill ya." He said. I noticed Draco smirk and nod at Crab and Goyle. I sent him a glare and nodded to my wand in my hand and he went back to a blank face. "I'll kill ya." Filch screamed drawing my attention to him grabbing my brother. 

"Argus...Argus I" Dumbledore spoke as he came into view. "Everyone will proceed to their dormitories immediately. " Everyone except you four..." He said pointing at Hermione, Ron, Harry and I. 

I watched everyone disappear while prefects called for their houses to follow them. 

"She's not dead Argus." I heard Dumbledore say.  "She's been petrified."

"Thought so, shame I wasn't there I know the exactly the counter curse that could have spared her." Lockheart spoke yet I highly doubted he could from the lessons I had with him prior to now. 

"But how she has been petrified I can not say." Dumbledore mused. 

"Ask him?" Filch said referencing to my brother. "It's him that's done it. You saw what he wrote on the wall"

"It's not true sir I swear." Harry spoke. "I didn't touch Misses Norris."

In the end Dumbledore just sent us back to the common room after we explained what had transpired. 

Lessons past quickly following this event not much happened. Draco stayed away and eventually it was time for the opening game of Quidditch. Gryffindor Vs Slytherin.
