The castle was over run. Death eaters had breached the boundaries. I ran around the castle ushering the younger students into safe hiding spots. Defending against many immoral attacks on first years by Death Eaters. The cowards.

"Fred!" I called noticing one of the Weasley twins.

Blasting one last spell from his wand, he turned to me. "Alright, Baby Potter?"

I nodded, "Stupefy!" I shot a blast over his shoulder knocking back an approaching death eater.

"Thanks, Baby Potter."

I turned to see another head of ginger hair come barreling around the corner in the form of Percy Weasley.

"Blimey, Percy. What are you doing here?" Fred asked.

"The minister left and I followed. He's under Voldemort's control, you know. I'm really sorry, you were all right," Percy apologised to his brother.

As if he had been called, the Minister of Magic apparated into the hall landing behind Fred. I was beaten to hitting him this time as Percy sent of a sea of spells at his boss.

"Did I mention I was resigning?" He yelled at the Minister as he jinxed him back into the wall knocking him unconcious.

A roar of laughter lifted from Fred, "Good one, Perce. I haven't heard you make a joke since..."

Fred was cut off as a blast from a nearby secret passage thundered as the death eaters broke through. Rubble exploded out in all directions.

Without thinking I lifted my wand, casting a protection orb around the three of us, repelling all rubble into dust as soon as it hit the shield. The weight of the spell pushed against me as if I was physically holding the rubble off our bodies myself. As the last fragment of dust flew off the bright blue orb around us, I dropped to the floor as my magic flew back into myself. Panting deep breath as I tried to recover from overdoing it.

"Rose," Harry's voiced crashed into my ears, as he slid in beside me. "Are you okay?"

His hands fluttered over me checking for a physical wound. I shook my head. "I'm alright. Did you find the diadem?"

Harry nodded, "We have one more horcrux to find. The snake and we know where he is."

Finding the strength I pushed myself off the floor, "I'm coming with you."

"No," Harry tried to push me back down. "You need to rest."

I shoved Harry's arms off me, "I'll rest when he's dead. I've had enough of the snake of a noseless man messing with my family."

Harry having learnt not to get in the way of my stubbornness just turned and led the way. Hermione and Ron followed on our tail as we made for the courtyard by the great hall. Defending ourselves from rogue spells with the protego charm. Harry's arm swung out pulling Hermione back as we reached the door. A spell flying past inches from her face before Harry lunged around the corner shooting off the expelliarmus charm.

We raced into the courtyard, which seemed to be another predominant spot for the battle. A giant stumbled around the centre, it's eyes latching on us as we turned and fled. Ducking inside a bell to protect us from it's scythe. We made our way into one of the side corridors away from the battles.

Fenrir Greyback preyed over a body at the far end. "No!" Hermione screamed launching a spell at him. He shot off the body and flew through the concrete window frame.

It was Lavender. Lavender Brown lay still and pale.

Before we could get to her, the giant started attacking us causing us to jump through the window onto the lower ledge down to the boat house. We rounded the corner, where dementors were flying towards the school over the bridge. Before any of us could produce our own patronus charm. A steady thud of blue magic eminated from behind us, where Aberforth stood. Behind him the tiny remains of the original DA stood before they were drew back into the fight amidst the courtyard as we continued running.
