A month had passed full of planning and arguing. The golden trio were heading to the Ministry and I was to hold down the fort here. In 3 hours I was meant to be standing on the front steps of Grimmauld place for them to apparate back.

Since I'd skived out of the mission, I'd been given the job of packing more essentials. This time I was sure to pack the anti-nausea potion, even if I was almost fully over the puking.

"Hey, Kreacher," I called as I fished my portable camera out of my bag. I'd been using it to document everything so Draco wouldn't feel like he missed anything. Everything from pregnancy test to bump updates every month and me puking in a bucket - curtesy of Ginny the morning of the wedding. I'd just kept the pictures together with a hair band but in my spare time I'd been making a scrap book with Kreacher's assistance. Kreacher had been excited at the idea of another Black family member, even though technically he now served the Potter family, only me willingly.

"Kreacher is here, Mistress," Kreacher spoke.

I turned to him, "I'm sure at some point we were nearly at using just Rose."

Kreacher rang his hands in agitation before he croaked out, "Mistress Rose."

I sighed. This was the best it was going to get. "Kreacher, could you take a picture of me with my tiny bump." When I say tiny bump, it was hardly visible unless you were actually looking, I was still yet to pop.

Kreacher grabbed the camera from the bottom of my bed, I rolled my shirt up slightly so it was just above my bump. I waited till after the flash before dropping it back into place. Kreacher walked his way over waving the polaroid as I'd shown him, while I pulled the scrap book out. I whipped my wand out and accepted the polaroid casting a sticking charm. Kreacher turned to the scrap book before turning to the next page. I'd already labelled the book in sections. Changing from months to weeks towards the end. I'd even left space for first steps and words and other baby milestones.

I had no excuse for the hormonal, sentimental mother hen I'd become except I'd been stuck in this house going stir crazy.

"Kreacher, if I need you how do I get a hold of you?" I asked. You never knew when having a house elf would come in handy.

Kreacher ran out the room and returned with an old fashioned ring. He offered it out to me, "Mistress Black used this to summon Kreacher. 3 taps of your wand and call out for Kreacher. Kreacher shall be there for Mistress."

"You can deliver messages incognito, right? Into warded places?" I asked.

"Kreacher shall do whatever he can for Mistress Rose," Kreacher explained.

I grabbed the camera and snapped a photo of my charm bracelet, waving the polaroid to dry. I ruffled through Hermione's bag, where she had packed pens over ink and quills. I scrawled four letters at the bottom, 'safe'. I handed the picture over to Kreacher, "Take this to Malfoy Manor. I need you to make sure it ends up in the hands of Draco Malfoy and nobody else. If you can't find him, return without delivering it."

Kreacher nodded before disapparating from the room, leaving me to finish packing everything before making my way down the stairs. I was raiding the kitchen next for snacks. Thank god for undetectable extension charms because I managed to fit plenty of food into one of the corners of the bag, where they were least likely to get squished.

Another crack sounded about half an hour later, I turned to find Kreacher holding a piece of parchment.

"That was quick Kreacher," I smiled at him.

He shuffled over to me and held it out, "Master Malfoy was still in his room. He sent this as a reply."

I nodded and settled in the chair at the opposite end of the kitchen, tucking my legs underneath myself. I opened the seal and settle to read the letter.
