It was the next day when I finally found out what happened to Harry and Ron. The platform wouldn't let them in and they ended up flying the enchanted car into the Whomping Willow and losing it. Mr and Mrs Weasley were not going to be happy at all.
Harry and Ron had gladly escorted me and Hermione to my first breakfast at Hogwarts. The food was tasty and delicious and I enjoyed it very much and kept on refilling my plate while Ron attempted to tape his wand back together.
"Say it I'm doomed." He spoke to Harry.
"You're doomed." He responded.
"Hi Harry." A boy behind me spoke as he took a picture with his camera. His name was Colin Creevey he had been sorted into Gryffindor too. He also pestered me with questions about Harry until I left to go to my dorm room which I shared with Ginny and 2 other Gryffindors that hadn't had the chance to introduce myself to yet.
"I'm Colin Creevey. I'm Gryffindor too." Colin bubbled to my brother.
"Hi Colin. Nice to meet you." Harry responded as a large screeched echoed from the ceiling.
"Ron, is that your owl?" A boy from further up the table asked.
The owl came flying down straight towards us with no elegance at all. Lowering down to above the other Gryffindor's heads as it reached the end of the table and continued its path to us before landing head first in the bowl that Harry, Ron, Hermione and myself surrounded. This of course meant a laughter rose from the rest of the hall as Ron flushed with embarrassment.
"Bloody birds a menace." Ron spoke as he removed the red letter from Errol's mouth. Errol then stood up and shook his feathers before taking off just between Hermione and I.
"Oh no." Ron mumbled.
"Look everyone. Weasleys got himself a howler." Another Gryffindor spoke from a few seats next to me.
"Ron, I ignored one from my gran once it was a horrible." A second boy spoke, his name was Neville, that Hermione introduced to me last night.
Ron's eyes widened as he opened the seal of the envelope carefully.
"Ronald Weasley..." The enveloped screamed and it sounded an awful lot like Mrs Weasley. The letter stood up and faced Ron. "How dare you steal that car. I am absolutely disgusted! Your father is now facing an inquiry at work and it's entirely your fault. If you put another toe out of line we'll bring you straight home!" The letter then turned to Ginny, who was sat next to me. "Oh and Ginny dear, congratulation on making Gryffindor you're father and I are so proud." This caused Ginny to blush and look at the table. The letter then turned to me. "Rose, congratulation on making Gryffindor too we are so pleased for you." Now it was my turned to blush at the table which made Ginny giggle next to me. I completely thought the letter had finished until the loud voice raised again. "Fred and George! I can not believe how much money you two spent in Diagon Alley! On a Pygmy Puff! Why would you want a Pygmy Puff! You will be paying myself and your father back every Galleon, young men!" The letter then hissed and ripped itself up while I turned to look at Forgie on my shoulder, in which she won't detach herself from, before turning to Fred and George who simply shrugged their shoulders.
I then noticed that the entire hall had become silent to hear what the howler had said causing me to blush even more. I felt something ruffle in my hair to see Forgie wrapping herself up in it causing myself to laugh and everyone else to join in but more so over the letter I believe. Then everyone went back to their conversations.
Our timetables appeared in front of us all once our plates disappeared. Myself and Ginny of course shared the same lessons as Hermione explained we would due to lessons taking place in our house and year group along with another house, in which she commented would most likely be Slytherin.
