Hana was having a very difficult time digesting the revelation that the best friend she had known for years was engaged and she was unaware of it the entire time. She was standing beside the sleeping figure of Daniel laying on the velvet mattress as she tried to ponder on the reasons why Daniel would keep such a huge part of his life a secret from her.
From their small conversation and by observing the worried face of his fiance, Hana could tell she cared for him a lot. The girl was pretty much stationed beside Daniel waiting for him to open his eyes while lovingly caressing his hair.
"He is all right," Hana reassured and Jihyo whispered "I know" with a sheepish smile.
Hana was expecting hostility from Jihyo but rather than giving her any negative vibes, Jihyo was treating her with lots of respect. It was quite evident that for some unknown reason the girl actually admired Hana rather than detesting her.
"I will give you guys some space to talk, I doubt that brat will open his eyes until we are here" Hana whispered to Jihyo, and she agreed with a small giggle.
Both Hana and Jassabella then exited out of the room towards the living room where Jungkook, Jimin, and Sehun were waiting.
After Daniel fainted, he was rushed into the penthouse owned by Jungkook which was located in the same hotel where the celebration was being held. Being a Medical student, Hana knew Daniel was completely fine and had pretended to faint to escape from the questioning but rather than confronting him, she had decided to give him some time to come clean on his own.
Jungkook immediately stood up and walked toward Hana and rubbed her back in a reassuring manner as he led her to the couch.
"Jihyo will take good care of him. You don't have to worry" he murmured while Hana nodded her head because she had no doubts about Jihyo's affection for Daniel.
"But I thought you were well-informed about his engagement with Helena's sister. I mean it's such a huge thing, I wonder what was his intention behind keeping you in the dark?" Jungkook began with fake concern and Sehun immediately jumped to exacerbate the situation.
"I mean aren't you guys best friends? How could he hide such a big thing from you"
While Sehun and Jungkook carried on about how they would feel betrayed if they would be in Hana's position, Jimin quietly showed his support by nodding his head at every word they were uttering.
Hana and Jassabella silently proceeded to take their seat while the maid served them tea. Seeing them remain wordless both Jungkook and Sehun got more courage to speak out against Daniel.
"You shouldn't forgive him, Hana. What he did isn't just breaking your trust but it's an insult to your friendship" Sehun mentioned making a smile appear on Hana's lips as she sipped on her tea.
"I can't imagine what you must be going through. Worst betrayal is one that comes from the person you trust the most" stating that Jungkook positioned himself beside Hana feeling that his plan had succeeded at last. Now he could finally breathe in peace knowing that he had successfully eliminated any chances Daniel had with Hana.
"Well, I am not that clueless as I seem your grace" Hana began putting down the teacup on the coffee table in front of her.
Both Sehun and Jungkook snapped their heads at her feeling puzzled and Hana instantly proceeded to clear their confusion.
"I am sure, you both knew that I was unaware of Daniel's engagement, and..." She turned her full attention to the crown prince of Death Valley "Wasn't this party held just to shed light on the truth" As soon as those words left Hana's lips, both Sehun and Jungkook's faces turned pale. Only Jimin was tittering, realizing they had fallen right into the trap they had laid.
