He woke up from his terrible dream in his bedroom. Everything was blurred, and the first thought that came to his mind wasOw.
due to the incredible searing pain. His face that had been relaxed for some time now winced as his eyebrows knitted together, he formed his next thought.
I can't breathe.
As he felt arms wrapping around his neck. He opened his eyes, to a very bright light, followed by people that were not enemies, people he recognized. He didn't even have time to be grateful as the next thing he knew, boiling hot soup was being poured into his mouth. It was absolutely disgusting. His mouth burned and he coughed and choked, sputtering and spilling the soup from his mouth. Despite all this, his stomach felt a bit better.
He coughed and coughed, and Sapnap rubbed his back softly patting until he had control over his vocals.
Sapnap
"Are you feeling okay?" Sapnap's voice came out. George finally came to.
He was alive.Sapnaps voice had been soft and cautious, but George could tell it was shaking, clearly holding himself back from his excitement. George wanted to laugh and make fun of this, but for some reason, he felt inexplicably exhausted.
He nodded his head instead and went to fall back down on the pillow when Sapnap's hand became firm. He didn't realize it, but George couldn't sit up on his own. Sapnap was holding him up.
"You can't rest yet, not until you've had some more soup and some of Bad's medicine okay? Then you can rest all you want. George wanted to groan and complain, but feeling deprived of all his energy slowly nodded, and turned to Bad who was holding a bowl of soup close to George's face. Had he always been there?
"Sorry George, I had just heated it up before you woke, I expected it to last a while, but... anyways" He held the spoon to George's mouth. George's eyes widened. No way he was going to burn his mouth again. He turned the other direction and shut his mouth tight.
"Come on, this is not the time George" Sapnap's voice came.He knew he probably should be eating, but George had no desire to. He liked living on the hungry side. But sapnap had now decided to make it his mission to get George to eat.
They tried it all. Bad blew on the soup, got a fresh bowl, they tried forcing his mouth open, but nothing worked. They even tried solid foods, but George was too weak to chew steak and loaves of bread.
After a long effort to no avail, they decided they were comfortable enough in how much the wound had shrunk with the first gulp of soup they'd forced down his throat and decided to let him rest after changing his bandages.
Before the two left the room though George felt he had the energy to finally speak. There had been one thing on his mind since waking up since the last thing he had seen had been teary green eyes and freckles.
"Where is Dream?" His voice came out raspy and quiet but Bad and Sapnap had heard it all the same. They hesitated, then looked to one another before Bad finally answered
"He left earlier today and we haven't seen him since. We think he's gone–" But Sapnap had cut him off. They then whispered back and forth for a bit and Bad finished "goodnight George! We'll see you tomorrow!" before shutting the door.
If George had been in his regular state he would have stayed up all night and worried about Dream. He knew how Dream would react. He would freak out, overreact of course, and want to fight shit. Either that or... George didn't want to think of it.
He however was not in his regular state, and as he sat in the darkness, he realized the long day of fighting his friends on food intake had really taken it out of him. It took no longer than five minutes before his head hit the pillow.
