We burst through the Embassy doors. My blade no longer at Echo's throat as the Azgeda guards swept in before us, my eyes catching Abby and Clarke on their knees near the King and Octavia further towards a window hosting a split lip.

Echo and I stood next to one another as I had resheathed my pistol and agreed to come in as peacefully as Wanlida could get.

"Emo don's trana slip Haihefa daun! Chek em au!"

"No. We were trying to save him." I caught the evil glare in Echo's eyes as she caught sight of Clarke, her sword out and raised in the air as she came towards the blonde. My body already in motion to save a co-leader once again.

"Gon ai Haiplana!"

"Hod op!" Echo's motions stilled, as did my own, as we all looked towards the source of the noise, A cough following as I smirked and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Ai Haihefa." Echo's head bowed and she lowered her sword as Roan rose from the table. His hand coming up to the bullet wound that had caught his shoulder rather than his chest.

"Roan, help us. Tell them we're friends." Clarke's words were desperate and I would have glared at her for sounding like that had I not been curiously watching the king as he rose. The action too soon for him as he started coughing again.

"You shouldn't try to stand so soon." Abby tried to help but the guard holding her cut her off.

"Where's Ontari." His deep voice rang through the room, his two words followed by a few coughs.

"Dead, Sire, killed by them." Technically, she was right. But then again, she was also wrong.

"We couldn't save her. But we did what we came here to do." Clarke started, my eyes scanning Roan's face that held all his emotions in. "Now I need you to honor your promise to protect my people."

"Yeah. That was before your people shot me. And killed my commander."

"I think you're forgetting that the gun was aimed at your chest, your highness." I threw my input into the room, heads turning towards me as my presence was finally acknowledged officially. "And, as I tried to inform your people, it was best if we took the bullet out. Messy things they are really." I added with a hint of an unnecessary mocking accent, my dagger swaying in the air as I moved my hands about.

Once I had finished, Echo made her way over to Roan and spoke to him quietly. My ears catching only parts, but enough to know I was starting to really, really dislike Echo.

You'd think there would be more blood down here.

I leaned my head back against the wall, my dagger in hand as I stared at the small slivers of light coming from the city above. Cement and stone walls, grey like my past.

Roan had requested I'd be in my own cell. Special treatment, but I didn't mind it. In fact, being away from everyone gave me a moment to just clear my head.

My head was still hurting, but I just had to push through it. The pain had dulled and it was now just annoying. Like an itchy bug bite that seemed to just throb waiting for you to attack it with your nails.

I also got to keep my weapons. Though I wasn't quite sure if it's because they figured I'd cooperate more or if they knew I was just as deadly with my hands. Either way, my behavior determined the outcome of the others.

I was separated from the group after we stepped down into the dungeon. Echo led the others left as I went right down a long hallway until we reached this cell. The last one on the left. It might have been scary seeing as no one was around and I was completely alone, but it was actually quite peaceful. And besides, I can't find dark places terrifying, I never got to be just that average kid worried about the dark and the monsters under their bed.

I had to fight my monsters every damn day and night. I had to live in the darkness. Being afraid wasn't an option- ever.

"I need to see Roan!"

"Hey. Hey!" I laid my head on the cool wall, my eyes closing as I listened to the commotion down the hall.

"Wait! Hey!"

"Wait! Echo! Echo! Listen to me!"

Their voices blurred together, but I could still pinpoint who all was speaking. Or yelling.

"Echo!"

I straightened my legs, my chained wrists in my lap as I took a few moments to listen to what was happening around me, rather than figure out how to get out of this cage.

Clearly, they just took Clarke. And by they, I mean Echo and other Azgeda guards. At least that's what the two people yelling and lack of Clarke's voice told me. It was only Abby and Bellamy who had tried to get Echo to stop, and since Roan wasn't with them, I can only assume that's where Clarke is headed. To the King.

I sighed, my left hand trailed up my right wrist before circling back down to my thumb. I held the appendage and contemplated dislocating it to get out with a frown. When I finally was about to, I heard footsteps coming in my direction. Heavy footsteps meaning a handful of different things.

One, judging by the heavy gate, it was a large male. Based on the casual speed, he was an Azgeda guard. And judging by the fact every time he took a step a set of keys clinked together, he was the newest big and burly prison keeper who had thrown me in here.

"Randolf, lovely to see you again." I mocked aloud before I could even see his face. My hands trailing back down to clasp in my lap. A smirk on my lips as he finally came into view and huffed. He wasn't a talker, making it better for me.

"Are you actually here to get me out? Or are you trying to soak in the power you feel with the White Wolf in chains?" He didn't make a noise, he simply stared at me before entering the cell. Keys still in hand.

I looked incredulously at the man as he pulled me to a standing position and uncuffed me from the wall. My wrists now completely free as he set a guiding hand on my upper arm and began to lead me out of the cell.

His grip was tight and controlling, but if I wanted to I could easily slip out of them within a second. It was more of a I have to take you somewhere hold rather than a don't run away or else I'm going to kill you hold.

"At least buy me dinner first."
