"Only choice, also an oxymoron, by the way." I came up to stand on the other side of Clarke as she finished her statement.
"Yeah, well so is cold sweat." I nudged her with my elbow as I examined her face.
"Still holding out hope for that Nightblood solution." Bellamy informed me as I examined Clarke's pale skin.
"There was never any solution. Alie was right about that." I grabbed Clarke's hands and turned her to face me as I read the distraught in her eyes.
"Oso gonplei nou ste odon, our fight is not over. Your fight is not over." I emphasized my words by shaking her clammy hands up and down as I spoke.
"My mom had a vision of me dying. Just like the one Raven had that told her there was a rocket here." Even though this information was new to me I spoke like it wasn't.
"Vision are what we make it to be. Clarke, for all we know it isn't the same thing."
"Yeah? They were both EMP'd." She shot me a look as if to tell me to try and explain my point.
"And Abby will be fine, too. Raven told her how to stop it." Bellamy spoke up noticing the tick in my jaw as I let Clarke's hands go. Knowing I was going to probably say something that wasn't a good idea to say.
"That's not what I'm talking about." Clarke sighed and stepped back slightly so she could look at both of us. "If anything happens to m—"
"I'm going to stop you right there." I interrupted quickly, my hand high in the air as Bellamy complimented my case and finished talking for me.
"Nothing is happening to you." We stared her down daring her to argue against her elders. "Come on. Let's run these water numbers again." I followed Bellamy over to the tech table when Clarke started up again.
"Please, Bellamy, Persphyni, I need you to hear this." I knew she was serious when she called me by Persphyni. My head turning to her as I planned on listening even if I didn't want to hear it.
"We've been through a lot together. Haven't we?" I crossed my arms leaning back on the table as Bellamy stood on the side and leaned on the counter top. "We didn't like you at first," she pointed to herself and I as she looked at Bellamy, "that's no secret, especially when someone tried to constantly get rid of you." I scoffed at her words. They were true but come on.
"True. But you were a total Dumbass so don't even." I injected as he looked at me curiously. Obviously he didn't know about the several small life threatening moments I tried to put him in. My own hands being several.
"But even then, every stupid thing you did,"
"Stupid is the nicer word for it." I raised my hands as Clarke glared and Bellamy poked me in the side playfully rolling his eyes.
"It was to protect your sister." Clarke continued after my small interlude. "She didn't always see that, but I did. You've got such a big heart, Bellamy." I nodded but couldn't help but feel left out as she praised him.
"Clarke—"
"People follow you. You inspire them because of this," she placed a hand on his heart as I watched her carefully. "But the only way to make sure we survive is if you use this, too." She poked his forehead. My chest tightened as I realized this was Clarke's goodbye speech. One that was unnecessarily spoken.
"I got you for that. Both of you." He grabbed my hand as he saw my emotions swirling in my eyes, unable to decipher them just yet as he stared.
"Raven's premonition came true." Clarke whispered.
"Clearly, Raven's premonition never met the likes of me. You're not dying Clarke. Not today." I rested a hand on her arm and squeezed just as Raven blew something in the cockpit.
"Agh! No!" Raven's anger sent us down the stairs towards the rocket where the bright blinding flash had occurred.
"Raven, what is it?" Bellamy asked as he climbed up, myself and Clarke staring from below.
"There isn't enough time. We're pushing too hard." Raven's voice drifted out of the rocket as Bellamy turned back to look at us.
"Go." I mouthed the word with a smile as I watched him nod before entering the cockpit.
"What's happening?" I motioned for Clarke to follow Bellamy up the ladder as I walked over to my bag. My helmet beside it as I grabbed it and headed for the stairs.
"Hey, Echo." She turned to look at me as I pulled my gloves on and secured them. "Let them know I went to help Monty and Murphy. They're taking too long, I don't like it." She nodded before turning back to the rocket as the computer ran through a pre-flight systems check. "Oh. And I still don't like you." I leave, moving quickly as I got on the elevator and the doors closed before I could hear the devastating news.
When I'd get back, I'd learn that Raven had terminated launch sequence. And Clarke had ran off to link to some satellite thingy.
Just love the end of the world, part 2.

"Murphy! Monty!" My voice echoed in my helmet as I ran down the path they had taken. My feet lightly pounding on the ground as I ran through the trees. My head turning as I examined the area around me for any signs of them being off trail.
The heavy breathing and grunting stopped me in my tracks as I recognized the footsteps of a human. I reached for my daggers which naturally I left in Becca's lab so I just managed to grab air. With a sigh, I shook my arms out and squared up ready for a fight as the grunting got louder and louder. My body defensive as I waited for the person to peak the hill. Having only one pair of footsteps I was worried it was a run away grounder. Only did my worry partially cease then grow as I looked for the second who was supposed to be with the first.
"Murphy!" I ran over and he dropped the metal in his arms to the ground as he took a break once I reached him. "What happened? Are you okay? Where's Monty?"
"I'm fine. Monty is passed out just a few minutes down the trail. He had to take his gloves off and got exposed and-" I stopped him and pulled him into a hug to get him to calm down.
"Okay. Can you get this back to the lab? I'm going to get Monty." He nodded slightly out of breath and uncertain as I pulled away. "Get to the lab, Murphy. We'll be right behind you." I turned and raced over the hill before he could say anything else and went in search of Monty.
"Come on, Boy Genius. Where are you?"
