Zachariel's P.O.V

The children had immensely enjoyed the theme park that I had created for them. It stood in the backyard for a week before Alexei ordered Charlotte to get rid of everything. It was a pain to disinfect everything in the morning. The kids expected me to stay regularly at the mansion. I, unfortunately, couldn't fulfill their wish. I would have to tell Zavier about Alexei's and my relationship before staying away from the house so often. I called the kids every day to ask them about their day. Alexei and I hadn't made any progress in our relationship. We were both busy. I did my best to call him twice a day. Briac was back from his vacation. He had a lot of projects to complete. He only talked to me if he needed advice on something.

It was finally Friday again. I had planned to stay at the mansion for the weekend. I had a surprise for the kids. I was sure that they would love the place where we would be visiting. I was in good spirits when I arrived at work that morning. I had a chat with Emma, then went to my cubicle. I frowned when I noticed a red envelope on my desk. I took a seat then gazed at the envelope. I was sure that Marla wasn't the one who had put the envelope on my desk. Marla delivered important messages personally to everyone. I got startled when I heard Briac say, "It's finally Friday, Zach." I nodded, then replied to Briac with, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to spending some time with the kids and Alexei this weekend." Briac looked in bewilderment at me. It seemed like Alexei hadn't told Chance and him about my visits to the mansion. Briac shook his head, then leaned over to see what had me alarmed. He chuckled, then asked me, "Are you afraid to open the envelope, Zach?"

I shook my head, then responded to Briac with, "That's not it, Briac. The problem is that I can't figure out why someone would place an anonymous letter on my desk. I hardly know anyone here." Briac put his hand on my shoulder, then uttered before walking away, "You won't find out who the envelope is from unless you open it, Zach." I took a deep breath, then opened the envelope. My eyes widened in shock when I read the letter that the mysterious person had directed to me. The person who seemed to be a man had stated that he had a great interest in me. He had requested me to contact him if I was interested in meeting him. No one had ever contacted me like this before. I knew how hard It was to convey your feelings to someone of the same gender. I decided to send a message to the mysterious man. I added the man's number to my work phone, then sent him a text stating that I was already in a relationship. I also thanked the man for building up the courage to reach out to me.

I blocked the man's number after I was sure that he had received my message. Briac peeked at me from behind his desk during lunchtime. He smirked, then asked me, "Who was the envelope from, Zach?" I pulled my chair closer to Briac, then answered him with, "I don't know, Briac, but he won't bother me anymore. And please don't talk so loudly. What if people hear you?" Briac looked puzzled at me, then said, "We can look at the surveillance footage if you want to find out who your secret admirer is, Zach." I sighed, then responded to Briac with, "I doubt that the man came here personally to place the letter on my desk, Briac. You don't have to worry about it anymore. I have already handled the situation." Briac nodded, then went back to eating. I pushed my chair back to my desk, then grabbed my lunchbox.

I was just about to eat when my phone went off. I groaned when I saw the caller ID. I quickly answered my phone with, "Hello Zavier." Zavier chuckled, then uttered, "It looks like you were in the middle of something, Zach. I will keep this short. Remember when you said that you would make an effort to meet my friends?" I could sense what Zavier was about to say. I responded to Zavier while clutching my phone with, "Yes, Zavier. I remember." Zavier laughed, then uttered, "Well, tonight is your chance to meet them. I've organized a small get-together at our house tonight. I have only invited my close friends. You don't have to worry about fitting in. They are all calm and successful people. They won't bother you too much."
