Zachariel's P.O.V

I had thought long and hard before deciding to stay with my parents. I had felt their pain and wanted to give them a chance. No parent should have to go through what they did. My family hadn't left me alone since my father had brought me to his house. I appreciated my family's concern about my health, but their constant probing quickly became unbearable to me. I knew myself better than anyone. I had no mysterious illness. I was down with a fever and would recover in a few days. I had an awkward first night at the house. I couldn't sleep no matter how hard I tried. I kept thinking about my past.

Leonardo laughed when I told him that I was feeling smothered. He shook his head, then uttered, "That's Giovanni and Caterina Malachi for you, Zachariel. They would do anything to keep their children happy." Leonardo gave me a pill to help me sleep. The sun was shining when I got up in the morning. I knew that Alexei would arrive around noon with the kids. I decided to take a shower when I saw that Leonardo had taken out the IV line. Caterina walked into the room with a tray full of food just when I was about to get dressed. She smiled, then asked me. "How are you feeling today, Zachariel?" I quickly donned my clothes, then answered Caterina with, "I'm feeling much better today. Alexei and the kids will be here soon. I didn't want the kids to see me in that horrible state, so I took a shower." Caterina chuckled, then uttered, "I'm glad that you found someone who can make you happy, Zachariel. Amelia told me a lot about the children. I can't wait to meet them."

I had just finished eating when Amelia ran into my room. She laughed like a crazy woman, then yelled, "Cash just drove through the gate, Zachariel. Get ready to greet your kids!" I patiently waited to see Alexei and the kids. I had missed them very much. My heart melted when I saw the triplets. The kids were wearing matching outfits. Our little girl looked adorable with her bow. It both warmed and broke my heart, seeing the children's concern for me. Alexei took the kids downstairs when he noticed that I was tired. I fell asleep as soon as Alexei left with the kids. I started dreaming almost instantly. I called out to Alexei in fear when I saw that I was back at the airport where I had met my abductor.

I had met Rosetta Malachi by chance at LaGuardia airport. I didn't recognize her at first. Rosetta attracted my attention when she couldn't find her flight ticket. People kept pushing the woman to the back of the line. People were in a hurry, and she was taking too long to check-in. A passenger even shoved Rosetta to the floor. I quickly went to her aid when I saw that she was having trouble getting up. Rosetta chuckled when I found her flight ticket on the floor. Only then I realized that she was half-blind. I helped Rosetta check-in then guided her to her flight terminal. Rosetta thanked me for helping her, then told me all about how her whole family had abandoned her years ago. She lived in a nursing home and was only in contact with one of her great-grandchildren. She had traveled to New York to witness the girl's graduation ceremony.

It was time for me to board my flight. I asked one of the flight attendants to keep an eye on the woman. My heart started to beat faster when Rosetta covered her head with a scarf and said, "You are such a nice boy, Zachariel. Your parents raised you well. I hope that all your wishes and dreams come true." I shook my head while looking at Rosetta. I hated this woman with all my heart. She had taken me from my loved ones. I had a list of things that I wanted to say and to do to Rosetta if I ever found her. I felt like a coward for not knowing what to do now that she was standing before me.

It looked like Rosetta had gotten what she deserved. She was in a bad state, and no one respected her. I was just about to leave when Rosetta grabbed my arm, then asked me, "You seem familiar. Do I know you from somewhere, Zachariel?" Images of my past started flashing into my mind the moment Rosetta touched me. I pushed her hand away, then yelled in anger, "How could you not recognize me, Rosetta Malachi? Take a good look at me, woman. I'm the child that you stole from Giovanni and Caterina Malachi!" Rosetta screamed in pain, then collapsed. I got startled when I heard glass shatter in the room. I groaned when I saw that I had hit the glass away while being immersed in my emotions. Caterina was shaking in fear. She probably thought that I was outright refusing her help. I had to tell everyone the truth to clear the misunderstanding.
