July 20, 2031
Kierra
I walked back in the house and let out a sigh I closed and locked the door another night that my husband has planned for us to go out only for him to stand me up. Once I locked the door I called him once again and didn't get an answer. I've been worried about August nonstop been calling his family and no one haven't seen him.
"Hey K you back already," Chandra spoke as I walked into the living room.
"Another night Aug have stood me up Cha where is he."
I sat next to her and sniffed.
"I have no idea K I really don't but sis you can't continue to stress like this over Aug you're 6 months pregnant with my nephew."
"I can't help it Cha my husband have been missing for months months and the only time I seen him was for the gender reveal after that I haven't seen my husband."
Chandra didn't say anything.
"You and Mel have been there for me than my own fucking husband and it's sad."
"I know look go upstairs shower and change I'll be up there soon."
"Thank you Cha for everything."
"No need to thank me you're my sis."
I nodded and went upstairs to shower and get ready for bed. When August confessed to me about his infidelities he promised me that he was going to change and that he was going to focus on his family and fix things with me clearly that was a fucking lie.
After my shower I got dressed and walked out of the room my phone went off I unlocked my phone going straight to Instagram. I closed the app and shook my head I climbed in the bed next to Chandra.
"What?"
"Another video of your brother cheating."
Chandra sighed.
"K how long are you going to continue to be hurt by Aug it's time to let him go sis and let him be free I know you love him but he's hurting you. You're 30 weeks and stressing over his ass when you shouldn't be your pregnancy is supposed to be stress free but it's not and I'm pissed the fuck off."
"I'll call Sabrina tomorrow and see if she can squeeze me in."
"Okay."
We said our good nights then Chandra turned off the lamp on the nightstand I got adjusted in the bed and let out a yawn then I closed my eyes.
Few hours later
I woke up to Chandra shaking me while crying.
"What's wrong?"
"K you're bleeding I already called the ambulance stay with me please."
I looked down seeing the blood and I got lightheaded.
"Nah K don't do this stay with us."
"C-call Aug please."
Melvin nodded he grabbed my phone and called August number putting him on speaker.
"Hello," we heard a woman voice.
"Where's August," I spoke.
"You must be wifey."
I sighed.
"C-can you please put August on the phone."
"He's sleeping ion wanna wake him what you want to tell him."
"That I'm in labor I believe and he need to get to the hospital quick."
As soon as I said that I heard Melvin and Chandra call my name everything around me went black.
Grady Hospital
9:00 am July 21, 2031
Melvin
I paced the floor as I waited on the update with Kierra she's been so stressed out over August bitch ass I knew this shit was going to happen.
"Mel baybeh sit down."
"I can't mama my sister is back there."
"I know Mel baybeh everything is going to be in God hands he got her."
I nodded.
"Have any one contacted Aug?"
"Yeah earlier before K passed out."
"I told that boy don't be stressing K out."
Before either one of us could respond the doctor walked out with a grim look on his face.
"Family of Kierra Alsina."
"That's us."
"Where is Mr. Alsina?"
"He's not here he's in traffic," I lied.
"Very well you can update him when he get here Ima start with mom because Kierra lost so much blood she slipped into a coma and her chances of coming back is very slim now moving on to the baby we had to rush Kierra in for an emergency cesarean so the baby wouldn't die because of the lack of oxygen and blood flow he was receiving. He also have a slim chance of living so please be prepared for the outcome of Kierra and the baby."
"Doctor that's my daughter back there you hear me my daughter she has 5 other kids that's currently in school and need their mother you do everything in your power to help her I know you have a praying mother and grandmother."
She smiled.
"Yes ma'am I do I'm not going to give up on Kierra I was just doing my job with letting you guys know to prepare for the worst."
"We understand doctor."
"I'll be back with another update on the baby and Kierra nurse Savannah will take you guys up to the ICU."
Dr. Craddock walked away and the nurse walked over to us and lead us over to the elevator. I went in my pocket and unlocked my phone and sent August a text.
"Ma and Chandra go ahead and get my bail money together cause as soon as I see Aug I'm beating his ass and Ima end up going to jail."
Once we was off of the elevator I FaceTimed my girls and told them what was going on and they hung up before I could even tell them to stay home until the next update I shook my head. The hard part about this is telling my nieces and nephews that the chances of their mama and new little brother living are slim. I know that's going to crush all of them because Kierra is their world just like they are her world.
The nurse stopped in front do Kierra door I took a deep breath and prepared myself for how I'm going to see my sister. I also have to prepare myself on how to tell the kids.
