There was a knock at my door and the door open I paused my game and removed my headphones.

"Hey mama."

"Hey baby. Lyssa is here to see you."

"Okay send her up."

"I did she's using the restroom."

"Okay."

"She has something she has to tell you and then you both need to come and talk to me and your dad."

"Yes ma'am."

Alyssa walked in and my mama closed the door behind her.

"Hey baby I haven't seen you in a while are you okay."

"Yeah but I don't know after I tell you this."

"Tell me what?"

Alyssa went in her purse and pulled something out she handed me the papers. I opened the papers seeing that it was ultrasound pictures.

"You're pregnant?"

Alyssa started to tear up.

"Yes."

"How far along are you?"

"Almost 8 weeks," she whispered.

"Come here why are you by the door."

Alyssa didn't say anything she walked closer to me. I sat my controller on the table and removed my headphones I let Alyssa sit in my lap and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Why are you shaking?"

"I'm scared of your reaction."

"There's no need to be scared baby I'm not going to blow up on you. We're going to get through this together. What do you want to do, do you want to keep the baby?"

"Is it crazy that I do."

"No not at all I know that we're young but we're going to be great parents."

"Okay."

"Now we gotta go talk to my parents."

"I know your mama was the one that took me to my appointment."

"Okay let's go baby."

Alyssa stood up and we walked out of my room heading downstairs. Alyssa lost both of her parents almost 2 years ago due to her pops being on drugs and strung out he ended up killing Alyssa mom and then his self so Alyssa has been staying with us her family didn't want anything to do with her.

We walked in the living room and sat down with my parents.

"So what are two going to do?"

"We're going to keep the baby."

"Yeah with the overturn of Roe V. Wade me getting an abortion this far along will have the police looking at me and I don't want to go to jail but abortion never really crossed my mind nor did adoption."

My mama nodded. This whole Roe V. Wade overturn is stupid to me because it's basically taking women rights away as far as them wanting to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.

"Okay. Listen it's not going to be easy I will tell you two that it's going to be hard and some days you two won't see eye to eye but talk things out."

"Yes sir."

"Are you two going to college still?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Alright while y'all are in class we'll watch the baby once y'all come home he/she will be with you both."
