I followed behind Khari as fast as I could I walked into the kitchen seeing them both they looked up at me.
"I'm sorry Shanee."
"No need to apologize you to have been keeping a secret from us and you know that's not how we operate anymore."
"We know."
"Ky baby what's going on," my mama asked as she walked into the kitchen.
The entire family walked into the kitchen too.
"About 4 months ago we suffered a loss it'll be 5 months next week."
"Not a miscarriage because I had him at 24 weeks he was a stillborn. After you found out that you was pregnant Shanee I found out that I was pregnant too we were excited and wanted to tell everyone but I had problems with my placenta she didn't want anyone to get too excited and I ended up losing or miscarrying the baby everything was fine until I had a placenta abruption and started to hemorrhage. Ky rushed me to the hospital and I had an emergency cesarean and gave birth to a 2lb. 4oz. little boy."
"We've been grieving alone trying to understand why is this happening to us not and we're sorry that we kept this from y'all."
I wiped my eyes.
"It's okay we completely understand I hate that y'all went through that alone I really do."
I walked over to Nyasha.
"Do you feel some type of way towards me?"
"No never Shanee not only are you my best friend but you are also my sister I just had a flashback to that day I'm sorry if I hurt you or made you feel some type of way."
"Never I was worried about you."
"When the time is right we'll have our baby."
"Did you guys name him?"
"Maddox."
We all nodded and I gave Nyasha a hug.
"I love you sis."
"I love you more."
"Will you two be able to chaperone Lani and her date Saturday night?"
"Yeah speaking of where is she?"
"Probably napping or her and Ri are at the mall."
"Babe my parents are on the way her," Caiden spoke.
"You've been on the phone this long with them," I asked as he handed me my food.
"You know your mother in law is a worrier so she started praying while on the phone then my pops interrupted her and they got into it and she started right back praying."
"They are a mess."
"Yes they are we literally hung up as they was boarding the plane and I was walking through the door."
"Now that you're back Caiden let's put this birthing pool up while the ladies be down here."
"Alright."
All of the guys walked upstairs to our room. Knowing my daddy is going to add a conjoing room to mine just for the baby.
Few hours later
Zuri
After washing my hands it was finally my turn to hold my niece and I'm so excited.
"Hi Noelle I'm your auntie Zuri and I will become your favorite auntie."
I rubbed my nose across hers.
"Shanee she's perfect."
"Thank you."
"How much do she weigh?"
"5lbs. 5oz."
I nodded and looked back down at my niece I'm so in love with her and we're going to become best friends. Being an auntie so far is amazing.
"What's her full name?"
"Noelle Valencia Alexander."
My mama snapped her head in our direction.
"Say her middle name one more time?"
"Valencia."
"She has my middle name?"
"Since I was 7 years old you and daddy reconnected and have been in my life every since you took me in just like I was your biological daughter. You've loved me unconditionally and never treated me different from my sisters and brothers like I thought that you did. So it was easy giving her your middle name I love you mama."
"I love you too."
"Ri Nate is here," Kameorn spoke.
I gave A'Shanee Noelle back and I walked out of her room making my way downstairs and over to the front door.
"Hey," I spoke and he looked up at me.
"Hey."
I stepped outside closing the door behind me.
"So what brings you by?"
"I wanted to talk to you."
"About what?"
"Us."
"There is no us you wanted to remain friends and I moved on."
"You have?"
"Yes."
"Cool I won't bother you again."
"We can still be friends," I spoke out as he walked to his car.
"Can't be friends with someone I love be blessed Zuri."
Nate got in his car and sped off. I sighed and was about to go in the house when Malani pulled up. She got out and she grabbed her bags and locked my doors.
"Who was that?'
"Nate."
She passed me my car keys.
"What he wanted?"
I turned and opened the door and we walked in.
"He wanted to talk?"
"About what?"
"Us but I told him that there is no us he wanted to stay in the friend zone and I've moved on with Anthony."
"You named dropped?"
"No but I told him that I moved on."
"Oh okay."
My phone started ringing I looked down seeing that it was Nate calling.
"Ooouu put it on speaker."
I nodded and answered my phone putting it on speaker.
"Hello," I spoke.
"Is this babygirl," I heard a voice speak.
"That's my nickname that Nate gave me my name is Zuri Alsina."
"Okay this was the first number we saw in his phone that Mr. Watson called I'm sorry Miss Alsina but Mr. Watson was in a bad car accident. I'm one of the first responders on the scene and we're on the way to Grady hospital."
My heart dropped.
"Okay I'm on my way."
I hung up the phone and put my slides on Malani ran and sat her bags down she came back over to me.
"I'll drive," she took my keys out of my hands.
We walked outside and got in my car I'll send a group text to everyone letting them know what's going on. I only nodded not being able to say a word. Malani drove down the driveway and she got onto the road heading towards the hospital.
