November 25,2031—2 days before Thanksgiving
August
I pulled up to the house and parked my car I got out locking my doors and walked up to the door I rung the doorbell and waited for someone to open the door.
"Hey daddy."
"Hey Lani."
We hugged then she stepped aside and let me in.
"Your mama in the kitchen no she's upstairs changing Ken."
"Okay."
I made my way upstairs to Kenzo room I quietly opened the door and watched as Kierra rocked back in forth in his chair as she breastfed him. I knocked slightly.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Are your bags packed?"
"Yep."
"Alright the driver is on his way."
Kierra nodded and yawned.
"Did you get any sleep last night?"
"No not really."
"Neither did I."
Even though we're back together we still not living together.
"I really haven't been getting sleep like that these last couple months."
"Why not?"
"I can't sleep without you my body haven't relaxed since you left."
Before I could respond Malani walked in.
"The driver here."
"Okay."
Kierra adjusted herself then she burped Kenzo I grabbed his blanket and placed it over him then Kierra stood up. We all walked out of his room and down the stairs. I grabbed the bags from the door and walked outside the driver popped the trunk I greeted him and he helped me with the bags. I walked back in the house and grabbed the rest of the bags and placed them in the trunk I then went in my trunk and grabbed my bags and placed them in the truck.
I got Kenzo car seat out of the back seat and placed it in the backseat Kierra placed Kenzo in his seat and strapped him in. She checked the straps 4 times before she got in. Malani and Zuri got in behind her I closed the door and got in the passenger seat. The driver drove off and I sent my pops a text letting him know that we're on our way to New Orleans.
New Orleans, Louisiana
After we arrived in New Orleans I called up my mama letting her know to come and pick us up. Knowing her she's going to send my brothers at us and one of them is going to have my SUV. Kierra let out a yawn and laid her head on my shoulder even though she might try and fight me on this but once we get to my parents house she's taking her self upstairs and getting some much needed rest. After she's well rested we're going to have a conversation about me moving back in so I can help her more than what I've been doing.

We arrived at mama Shiela house and once we were inside she took Kenzo right out of my arms.
"Go upstairs and get some sleep K I can see the tiredness all in your eyes."
"I'm fine mama Sheila."
"No you're not now go on and get you some sleep."
"Don't worry about Kenzo we got him."
"Okay."
I made my way upstairs to the room that me, Aug and Kenzo will be occupying for the next couple days. I walked in the room seeing Aug walking out of the bathroom.
"My mama sent you up here to get some sleep huh."
"Yeah she did."
I took off my jacket and shoes then I got in the bed.
"Change your clothes first."
"Can you help me?"
August nodded he walked over to me and removed my sweater then my shoes and pants.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
He went in his bag and passed me a pair of his basketball shorts. I thanked him again and put them on them I climbed in the bed and got under the covers.
"When you wake up I want to talk to you."
"About what?"
"Don't worry about that now get you some rest."
August kissed my forehead he turned off the light and closed the door I let out a yawn and closed my eyes.
Several hours later
I woke up and grabbed my phone and checked the time seeing it was almost 5 I let out a yawn and sat my phone down and made my way into the bathroom. After using the bathroom I walked out seeing August sitting on the bed.
"Hey."
"Hey baby you're finally woke."
"I am I really needed that rest."
"I know you did."
"Listen I think that it's time for you to move back in the house and help me more than what you have been doing."
"I was just about to say that."
"Really," I asked.
"Yeah that's what I wanted to talk to you about."
"Oh okay."
"Gumbo is almost done."
"Alright."
"Shanee and Khari are here they been trying to up here to wake you up since they arrived but me nor mama was having that."
"Okay."
We walked out of the room going downstairs we walked into the kitchen A'Shanee and Khari looked at before they both ran and attacked me with hugs.
"Big ass babies."
"So we're mama big babies."
"Get off my wife."
"WIIIFFFFEEEEE," Khari spoke.
I laughed.
"Yes my wife and keep y'all comments to y'all selves cause ya mama gon be my wife again."
"Mama gon say no."
"Son why you hating."
"Don't pay him no mind daddy he just upset cause Nyasha haven't text him today."
"Oh that's why your panties in a knot your girl haven't text you."
"Ky I told you Nyasha have a life and it doesn't just revolve around you she's probably busy and when she get free time she'll text you."
"When I become unreachable ion wanna hear nothing from her."
"Boy stop lying you're just like daddy."
We heard a phone dinged Khari pulled out his phone he smiled and walked away.
"Simp."
Khari flipped A'Shanee off.
"Have you heard from Prince?"
"No thanks to daddy."
I looked at August.
"What did you do?"
"I didn't do anything."
A'Shanee sucked her teeth, rolled her eyes and walked out of the kitchen.
"Go fix it before you eat."
"You heard K Aug your food will be right here."
August nodded and made his way to A'Shanee room to fix whatever he done caused and I know that he done scared Prince off cause he don't want A'Shanee to date cause that's his baby girl but he gotta get used to it plus we have 2 other girls that will be dating and he'll have to get over that.
