We arrived at the Barclays Center for tonight's draft we're all excited and ready to see what team Kj will be drafted to tonight.
"Mama."
"Yes Nova."
"I gotta go to the bathroom."
"Natalia take your sister to the bathroom."
"Yes ma'am."
They got up and went to the bathroom Kj and Kameron walked up to us.
"So glad y'all made it auntie," Kj spoke as he gave me a hug.
We wouldn't miss this for the world you know that.
"But you're due-," I cut him off.
"Your little cousin isn't making his entrance any time soon I'm okay I have 2 weeks left."
Kj nodded I hugged Kameron.
"Have everyone else arrived?"
"Yeah."
I nodded.
"Are you nervous?"
"I am I hope I get drafted to pops team."
"Only time will tell."
"Right."
Just as we about to go inside and sit down we heard someone calling Kj name. The person came into view seeing Alyssa Kj sucked his teeth.
"H-Hey Kj baby," Alyssa tried to reach for Kj but he stepped back.
"Alyssa."
"I'm mom not Alyssa."
"No you're Alyssa last time my mom is Sydney yall let's go and get seated."
We all followed behind Kj and of course Alyssa followed behind us like a lost puppy.
"Hey Zuri."
"Hey Alyssa."
We all sat down at the table Kameron looked in our direction he saw Alyssa and shook his head. After all these years now she wanna show up thinking Kj gon let her in but she have another thing coming. I felt the urge to use the bathroom as they got started I stood up and excused myself. I waddled over to the bathroom I walked inside and quickly walked into the stall I relived myself and then I stood up and washed and dried my hands.
"Zuri can I talk to you?"
"Wassup Alyssa."
"Do you think Kj misses me or forgive me?"
"I'm pretty sure that he has forgive you but as far as missing you no he don't you abandoned him."
I brushed passed her and walked back over to my seat and sat down Nate looked at me and I nodded letting him know that I was fine."
"Ladies and gentlemen the first round 4th pick for the 2077 NBA draft Atlanta Hawks choose Kameron Alaina, Jr."
We all stood up as Kj stood up he hugged Shania then my parents and Sydney. We continued to cheer as Kj and Shania walked up to the podium.
Kj and Kameron shook hands and hugged Kj walked up to the podium.
"First and foremost I would like to thank God, my parents Coach Kameron and Sydney Alsina without you two I wouldn't be here without y'all. Y'all love and guidance is what got me here today my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins thank y'all for supporting me and never giving up on me I love y'all forreal."
"We love you too Kj," we all yelled.
Kj laughed and continued on with his speech then he thanked the Hawks and sat down we all cheered as Kj sat down.
