Classes are over and I'm making my way over to my car. It's been 2 weeks since our fall break and midterms are slowly approaching.
"Khari hold on."
I stopped and turned seeing Nyasha.
"Wassup Nyasha."
"I was wondering can we study for the test in Mrs. Bowman's class."
"Yeah you got any plans later?"
She shook her head.
"Alright I'll text you my address."
"Wait I gotta give you my number I don't want you to text me on Instagram."
I nodded and pulled out my phone I unlocked it and passed it to Nyasha.
"Ima call it and make sure it's your number," I spoke as I called the number.
Nyasha raised her phone.
"It's my number see you later."
"See you later."
She smiled and walked away and of course I watched. Nyasha and A'Shanee are best friends now and I've had my eyes since orientation here at Howard.
I unlocked my car doors and got in I put my seatbelt on and connected my phone to my Bluetooth. I had gotten a message from A'Shanee telling me to stop by a wing place and get her some wings she lucky that I'm hungry too.
After getting the food I pulled into our condo garage I got out and locked my car doors I opened the garage door and walked in closing and locking the door behind me.
"Shanee I'm here," I yelled.
"Living room," she called back.
I walked into the living room seeing Nyasha sitting next to A'Shanee.
"So that's why I had got get an extra plate."
"Yep."
I nodded.
"Here's y'all food," I handed A'Shanee the bag.
"Thanks bro."
"You're welcome."
"Oh Prince said he'll be back."
"Where he went and when did you talk to him?"
"To go get him some food and about 10 minutes ago."
"Oh okay."
I sat down on the other couch and got my food out of the bag I opened the container said a prayer and got started with eating I looked up seeing A'Shanee and Nyasha staring at me.
"What?"
"Nothing," they spoke.
I squinted my eyes at them.
"Mhmm."
I continued on with eating my food.
"So Ky what you and Asha will be studying?"
"Biology for Professor Bowman's class."
She nodded.
"What about you and Prince?"
"Chemistry."
"I know one thing it better be what's being taught by y'all Professor and not the chemistry between you two."
"I'm older Ky."
"By a couple months I still have to protect you."
"You and Prince are friends plus we've known him our entire lives."
"And I also know how Prince got down in highschool I just don't want you to get hurt Shanee."
"Aww KyKy cares about his big sis."
I rolled my eyes.
"How about this the moment Prince acts out if we make it official I'll let you beat him up."
"There isn't a need for Ky to beat me up cause I don't have hoes I cut all of them off."
"Since when," I asked.
"Since the first day of the semester."
I looked at Prince and he looked at me I closed my food and stood up.
"Nyasha how about we go to my room and get started with studying."
"Okay."
We walked out of the living room.
"And keep that door open," A'Shanee yelled.
"I'm grown," I shot back.
I closed the door and walked over to my bed Nyasha sat next to me and I turned on the tv so we can continue on with eating before we get started with studying.
About 40 minutes into studying I heard Nyasha sigh I looked up from my notes.
"You good?"
"No."
"Well let's take a break and talk about it."
She nodded.
"So what's going on?"
She stood up and started pacing the floor.
"So there's this guy that I like I've been liking him for a good minute now and I honestly thought that I never had the chance then I see him at orientation at Howard and I'm thinking this is my chance to get closer to him and know him because I'm feeling him but I don't know if he's feeling me."
By now I was standing up I softly grabbed Nyasha hand and she stopped pacing and looked at me.
"He's interested he's very interested."
"H-how you know I was talking about you."
"One because I've had my eyes on you since orientation and I also caught you looking at me more than once."
"S-so what does this mean?"
"We're going to get to know each other and then Ima ask to be my girlfriend after a few dates."
"You don't have any hoes do you?"
"Nah and you can check my phone if you want."
"I'm sorry it's just that my ex cheated on me several times and trust is a little fucked up."
"It's cool I get it Ima show you that you can trust me and that I'm not going to hurt you."
"Okay."
I searched Nyasha eyes.
"You can kiss me if you want."
She rolled her eyes.
"Are you reading me?"
"I am."
I leaned in and I kissed Nyasha grabbing a handful of her ass.
"Let's get back to studying before I get off track."
"I agree."
We both walked back over to the bed and sat down I went back to my notes and so did Nyasha. I sort of spaced out after about 5 minutes I have to look up what restaurant I want to take Nyasha on for our first date. Speaking of dates once Nyasha leave I need to call my mama and see how her lil date went.
My dad on the other hand haven't even been on date nor have he had any conversation with another woman unless it's my aunties and my grandmas other than that no woman has his attention. It took my dad to lose my mom to realize that he had the best thing in front of him and now he probably can't even get her back because she just might be happy without my dad. I also gotta check in with him too and see how he's doing.
