Khari
Me and Nyasha have made it back from our honeymoon and we're both at my parents house catching up on everything.
"Wait a minute so Alyssa is pregnant?"
"Yep."
"Damn."
"Wait a minute I gave Kam some condoms for him to use."
"He must've didn't use them."
"Guess not."
"How would you two feel about living with us," my mama asked.
"What?"
"Well not like physically in the same house as us but me and your mama have been looking at land that'll be big enough to have several houses."
"Okay what's going on?"
"Nothing I just want to be closer to my babies everyone is expanding their families but the youngest three and I want to help out as much as I can without y'all being so far away. A'Shanee and Caiden are at home packing their things to come and here so that way when she give birth in 4 weeks I'll be able to help her get settled in and transition into mommy hood. I suffered from postpartum depression with Kenzo and I don't want that to happen to my girls or my daughter in loves not laws but loves."
"Oh okay."
"Kam do you know about this lil boy who supposed to be taking Lani out?"
"What boy?"
"Your sisters don't want to tell me."
"I understand why not pop you're not as welcoming with them talking to girls even mama is welcoming to us talking to girls."
"They're my babies."
"Who gotta grow up they're not going to stay your little girls forever pops."
"I'm not that bad."
"Says the man who was ready to take my head off when I met him and when Shanee announced her pregnancy even though she's my wife," Caiden spoke.
"Cai is right daddy plus it's just a date and if they decide to continue to date and make it official you'll meet him but until then no."
A'Shanee frowned up and grabbed her stomach alerting all of us.
"Shanee are you okay," I asked.
"Yeah it's just Braxton Hicks,"- A'Shanee doubled over in pain.
"Definitely not Braxton Hicks contractions Cai call Brenda."
"Mama it's too early for her to come."
"It's okay let me help you get to the couch."
A'Shanee took a step and a gush of water hit the floor. I immediately jumped up and ran to the laundry room to get a towel. A'Shanee is in labor. I walked back into the living rokm I got up the water and took the towel back to the laundry room. I walked over to the door and grabbed Nyasha medical bag. After midterms in college Nyasha ended up changing her major and now she's an OB nurse.
"Thank you babe," Nyasha spoke as I walked back into the living room.
"You're welcome."
I watched as Nyasha checked A'Shanee vitals.
"Brenda says that she's on the way."
"Alright guys y'all step out and let me check Shanee and see how far along she is."
"Okay."
We all walked out of the living room and into the kitchen and waited.
A'Shanee
Once Nyasha checked me she removed her gloves.
"You're definitely in active labor you're at 3 1/2 centimeters dilated do you have your birthing plan and your birthing pool."
"I do."
"Alright we're going to have to get everything set up as soon as possible."
"Okay."
"I'm going to go and let Caiden know you're more than welcome to go and shower."
"Alright."
My mama helped me up then she lead me to my old room we walked in and went straight to the bathroom.
"Isn't it too early for her to come mama?"
"It is but everything is going to be okay I'm right here."
"Okay."
My mama turned on the shower and I started crying she wrapped her arms around me. I calmed myself and stripped out of my clothes and stepped into the shower I said a prayer and then I washed off.
Ima have to see if Khari and Nyasha can chaperone Malani date since Im unable to do so now. I walked out of the bathroom dressed in what my mama had out for me.
I walked over to the bed and sat down I greeted Brenda then she got the doopler to check the baby heartbeat.
"Baby heartbeat is strong I brought the equipment the baby will need if she have trouble with breathing."
"Okay."
Once Brenda was done I stood up and walked over to my pregnancy ball I sat down and started bouncing up and down. I guess baby girl is ready to see her parents Caiden walked over to me with my phone and I called my grandparents while he called his parents.
"Woah what's going on," Kenzo spoke.
"Active labor and soon childbirth," I spoke.
He walked in further.
"Okay hey Shanee."
"Hey Ken."
We hugged.
"Is there anything I can get you sis?"
"Ice."
"Okay."
Kenzo walked out and Caiden walked over to me.
"Are you hungry baby?"
"A burger and fries with a sweet tea would be nice."
"Okay I'll go get that for you."
"Thank you."
We kissed then Caiden walked out and Zuri walked in with a package.
"Shanee your package is here woah."
"Is my niece coming?"
"6 weeks early yes she is I guess she couldn't wait to see her mommy and daddy."
"Just like you was and Zuri."
"I came early," I asked.
"5 weeks early to be exact."
"Oh wow I didn't know that."
"Yeah we tried everything in our power to keep you in but you wasn't having it just like Zuri she came at 34 weeks too."
"And I was freaking out just like you was but everything was fine with her lungs was perfect and all."
I nodded and rubbed my stomach as I breathed in and out as I was having another contraction.
"You're doing great Shanee."
"Thank you I looked over at Khari."
"You've been quiet Ky."
"Just watching and observing."
"No something is wrong I can see it and you and Nyasha face so one of y'all need to talk."
Nyasha ran out of the room and Khari sighed and went behind her leaving all of us puzzled and confused. It's clear that they've been keeping a secret and that's one thing this family don't do.
